Two days passed calmly. Most of your activities included reading in the library, training in your room and hanging out with Bela and Daniela who turned out to be friendlier than you anticipated, perhaps you earned some respect from them after your fight. You were allowed to spend some time outside in the inner courtyard, too.

You were just heading there when a swarm of flies appeared in front of you and transformed into Bela.

"Will you join us for the hunt?!" she almost screamed out of excitement.

You jumped out of surprise, and your heartbeat hastened.

"What? Which hunt?" you asked, confused.

Bela sighed. "When the weather is fitting, we go out to hunt some wild animals for food. But it's so much fun, too!" she explained and snickered.

"Well, why not. I got some experience, after all. When are you heading out?" you asked as you thought it was just the time to exercise again.

"Now!" she exclaimed and grabbed your arm before you could say any other word.

The next thing you felt was rapid movement forward which was dizzying at first. You felt soft air caress your cheeks.

'Did she just take me with her swarm?!' you were a bit pissed that she didn't ask your permission first, but the flight was truly exhilarating. You wished you could move so fast.

You arrived at the main castle doors.

Daniela was already waiting for you there. With... Cassandra?!

You froze, staring at her and two other sisters.

"Cassandra is out of detention, only for the hunt. And under our responsibility," Bela hurried to clarify this. "Don't worry, Y/N, she will behave," her voice got stern at the end of the phrase as she glared at Cassandra. You noticed something in her tone. This sounded almost like Lady Dimitrescu herself.

'Now that is cute! The older sister is copying her mother.'

The dark-haired sister answered Bela with an annoyed and resentful look.

Without further discussion, you and Dimitrescu daughters left the castle.

The weather was beyond pleasant, indeed. Sun was shining generously, warming your skin.

You were walking for some time until you arrived in a giant dense forest. It was surrounded by a field, sunlight gently caressing its crops. The insides of the forest, however, were dark and formidable, as mighty evergreen trees gladly devoured the sun rays.

"Now. We split up, and each of us should catch our prey. Once you're done, bring your prey to the cellar," Bela commanded.

"Whoever catches the biggest prey, wins!" Daniela seemed most excited about the hunt among the other sisters.

Cassandra eyed you carefully. "Good luck, human," she pronounced and disappeared in her swarm.

Why did this sound so ominous?

Loud buzzing caught you off guard. When you looked around, all sisters were gone.

You hastily checked your hips. Thank god, at least you had your daggers with you when Bela took you to the hunt. At that moment, you forgot about the most important thing for a hunt – the weapons.

Luckily, you didn't really need your sword that stayed in the castle, daggers were a lot quicker and nimbler.

Not to waste more time, you carefully entered the forest.
