Sekai's POV
"Oh my goodness! Baby, look at these!" I gasped, looking at the cute little baby booties.
After he took me out to eat, I wanted to go to a couple of baby stores to see what I could find, and have an idea of how to decorate the nursery when it was time.
Since we don't know the sex yet, I've mainly been looking at unisex clothes.
"I like those. I don't think we bought em yet." Derek said, nodding in approval.
Putting them in the basket, the both of us just walked around the store to see if we could find anything else.
I knew we couldn't bring all this stuff on the plane, but we can order it and have it sent to shipped to us.
"I think I'm done, for now. Is there anything else we need, while we're here?" I asked, as we walked out of the baby store.
It was located in the mall, so we were surrounded by a bunch a different stores and shops.
"Yeah, I actually have something to pick up." He said, taking my hand, leading me further into the mall.
Coming up to a jewelry store, we were greeted by a jeweler, standing behind a glass case.
"Welcome! Welcome! I'm Andy, owner of Barone Gems. What can I do for the lovely couple today?" Andy asked, giving us a bright smile.
"Nice to meet you, Andy. I'm Derek Grantham, I talked to you a couple days ago, about a special set, for my beautiful girlfriend."
"Yes! Mr. Grantham, I've been awaiting your arrival. You must be the beautiful Sekai, he's spoken so highly of." Andy said, bringing a smile to my face.
I can tell Derek wasn't expecting him to expose him like that, but he looks so cute when he gets embarrassed.
"That would be me. It's nice to meet you." I said, shaking his hand.
"How about you guys take a look around, while I go get the set." He said, before disappearing to the back.
"What do you have up your sleeve, Mr?" I asked, squinting my eyes at him, but he only smiled.
I decided to walk around the store, and look at all the different pieces that were in the glass cases.
Everything was so beautiful, but nothing really stuck out to me.
I was so busy at looking at the different necklaces, I didn't notice Andy and Derek whispering to each other on the other side of the store.
"See anything you like?" He asked, walking up behind me, wrapping his arm around my waist, and resting his chin on my shoulder.
"No. They're all beautiful, but it's like something's missing." I said, studying the stones on each piece.
"Hmm. What about this one?" He said, holding an open ring ring box in front of me.
The ring was so beautiful.
It was a princess cut emerald, centered around white diamonds, with a white gold band.
"Derek that's beautiful, but it's an engagement ring." I pouted, taking the box in my hand admiring it.
"I know, because it's yours."
When he said that, I turned to looked at him, and he was getting down on one knee.
Taking my left hand, he placed a light kiss on the back of it, before looking into my watering eyes.
"I know this isn't the most romantic place you imagined being proposed to in, but I'd be a lie if I said, I could wait til later. Sekai, you are the most incredible woman I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. For the longest time, I had felt like a piece of myself was missing, but the day I met you, it was like all the dots finally connected. You bring out the best in me, and you've shown me a love that I've never seen before. I wanna love you, take care of you, and show you how much you and the life we've created mean to me, everyday of my life. Sekai Morgan, will you marry me?" He sincerely spoke, as I used my thumb to wipe his tears that fell.
