"You should do a nude eye look, with a bold red lip, or brown gloss."
I'm on FaceTime with Lauryn, getting ready for this charity event, and she's helping me figure out a make up look.
"I'm gonna just do the gloss, cause I don't want to do an over the top make up look, since my dress is really bold." I said, finishing my eyeliner.
"Well you still won't let me see your dress, so I don't know what look you're going for."
When Lauryn asked me to go to the gala with her, instead of me going to buy one, I just designed my own.
Making clothes is just a hobby of mine, that I learned from my mom. She used to be a seamstress, and had her own little boutique when I was younger. I had always been so amazed, at how she could take a simple piece of fabric, and create such a masterpiece out of it.
"You'll see it, when you pick me up. Let me get off here, so I can finish getting dressed." I said, adding highlight to my cheek bones.
"Aight, love. See you in a minute."
After getting off the phone, I finally finished my makeup, and got started in my hair. I had gotten a silk press earlier this morning, so my hair was bone straight, but I still needed to slay my edges.
Looking at the time, I saw I had about 30 minutes left, before Lauryn got here. So I finally slipped my dress on, admiring every inch of it in the mirror. Then I slipped on my heeled sandals, that wrapped around my calves, and sprayed on my YSL perfume.
As soon as I got done, I got a text from Lauryn, saying she was downstairs.
Grabbing my clutch, I made my way to the elevator, taking me to the lobby. As soon as I walked out, I could see her car, and when she seen me approaching, and her eyes raked over my dress, she started squealing.

"Damn! I know they said dress to impress, but bitch, you dressed to kill!" She yelled, jumping out the car.
"Thank you, love. You look great too." I said, complimenting her friend.
"Thanks boo. Let's go before we're late." Lauryn said, getting into the car.
3rd Person POV
After a 30 minute drive, they finally made it to the venue, and could see people walking up the grand steps, making their way inside.
"Let's go shut shit down, sis." Lauryn excitedly said.
Getting out the car, the ladies made their way up the steps, catching the eyes of the other attendees.
When they made it inside, they seen so many people dressed to the nines, but no one stood out like Sekai did.
