Sekai's POV

Keone

He looked horrible.

Like he was only a shell of himself, and I can't say I feel bad.

He was leaning on a cane, with one hand, and was holding flowers in his other.

Tulips.

"Yes, it is. So hello, and goodbye." I said, taking Derek's hand, walking past him.

I was in no mood to converse, or talk about the past as if we were old friends.

"Wait. Don't go. Please." He said, pleading me with his eyes, making me roll my own, in annoyance.

I looked at Derek, only to find him already staring at me.

"If you wanna talk, it's okay. If you wanna leave, it's okay too. I'm right here, ready for whatever you want, baby." He said, kissing my hand.

I took a minute to think.

This would most definitely be my last time seeing Keon, and I don't want or need to take anything from my old life, or past relationship into my new relationship, or fuck with my new life.

I'm engaged to the man I want, and love more than anything, and we're starting a family. I'm gonna choose to let go of the past, once and for all.

"I wanna talk, but only for five minutes. After this, I wanna leave him in the past forever." I said, taking in a deep breath.

"I think it'll be good for you. I'll be standing right here okay?"

"Okay. I love you, baby."

"I know, and I love you more."

Pecking him on the lips, I walked over to Keone, standing at a safe enough distance.

"What do you want?" I asked, cutting to the chase.

There was no need for me to beat around the bush, and pretend I'm happy to see him, or be in his presence. I'm ready to go eat, and get me a foot massage by my boo.

"I wanted to know how you've been. It's been a while."

"Really? You wanna catch up like we're old friends?" I scoffed, already over this conversation.

"I missed you, Se. It's been hell without you. I know I did some fucked up shit in the past, but I've changed." He said, shifting his weight on his cane.

"Well I can't say the same. I've been great. Living an amazing life, and I have no desire to look back on my old one. As for you changing, that's good for you, but it doesn't have anything to do with me." I said, and he just stared at me.

It was like he had so much to say, but didn't know where to start.

I mean, where could he start?

The list of things he put me through, is endless, and something that seemed straight out of a nightmare.

"She wasn't mine." He mumbled, looking down.
