"I don't need a phone call
Got nothing to say
I'ma tell you when it's over
Got no games to play"

Singing has always been an outlet for you and in this case, there was nothing you wanted to do more. You and Leah had come here as soon as you got cleaned up after the party. She knows how much singing means to you and it gives her the time to write her lines for her comedy shows. Win win.
You two had dressed comfortably. Leggings, white vans, and a long sleeve grey t-shirt for you and leggings, crocs, and a crew neck sweatshirt for Leah.
You've recorded a song and a half when there was a knock on the door followed by the slow opening of said door. Andy creeped into the recording studio with sushi in hand and an apologetic smile on his face followed by Caity and the guys. She had a bruised chin and some of her nails were broken. You walked up to her first and immediately hugged her since you hadn't had the chance to thank her for last night.
They all saw your eyebrow for the first time and it was loudly quiet; you could hear a pin drop.
"Aww Sum... I'm so sorry" she reached up to move your hair behind your ear to show the bruised skin.
You didn't say anything as tears welled in your eyes. Your eye was sore but it was more of the embarrassment and your hurt ego. Apparently your legal team was already talking to his; pressing charges of course. He would pay for this.
Sitting down on the floor like old times, everyone piled around the sushi just eating in a comfortable silence. Andy to your left and Benn on your right. Benn elbowed you slightly when your eye lingered on his spicy crab roll for too long, giving in to you shortly later.
"I can't deny you with a boo boo eye" he whispered as he put the spicy crab roll on your plate.
"Eee" you squealed.

Your phone had been on do not disturb since this morning. You didn't want to talk to anyone. See any articles. Read any concern or speculations. You just wanted to sing... right after you ate of course.

You finished the song by adding ad libs and harmonies but everyone had left long before. Everyone aside from Leah. You decided since it was almost dinner time that you could finally check your phone. Clearing out all the nonsense and responding to your manager you made it to Eric's messages. They brought a smile to your face.

Eric: I heard what happened. Do you need me to come over?
Eric: Just let me know that you're okay please

He was so sweet and he was what you needed.

I'm sorry, Eric! I didn't check my phone all morning because I didn't want to see anything about last night. I'm okay but I can't let you see me in this state.. you'll run away 🥴

You and Leah decided to get food dashed to you at home. It was nice to be home finally, just watching a movie and eating dinner with your best friend. Suddenly, once the movie was over she turned to you.
"I think I might go out with Brent if that's okay. If not I'll totally cancel so no pressure at all!" She looked at your nervously anticipating your answer.
"Of course! You don't have to cancel! You've spent the whole day with me silly." You thought for a second. "Are you coming back here afterwards or.." your voice trailing off.
"I'll probably stay with him tonight I think."
"I might invite Eric over in that case. He's been worried about me and I've been super distant. It might also be good to see him in a calm element."
"Ok yes!" Her excitement leaking out since she knew I wasn't going to be alone tonight.
You touched up your light makeup while she did her face for a night out. Sliding a beanie over your eyebrows to hide the bump and the bruise you eyed yourself in the mirror. Almost. You almost looked like yourself.

Once Leah was done and heading out the door you finally contemplated on inviting Eric over

Once Leah was done and heading out the door you finally contemplated on inviting Eric over.

Eric: I'm sure you're still as sexy as ever. You can blindfold me if that makes you feel better

Okay it's settled. He's getting invited. You knew he was just being funny but it still stirred something inside of you and you got jittery. He said he was coming over in 30 as you sent him the address. Looking around your apartment, you decided it wasn't near as clean enough as it needed to be. After making the bed, you started on the dishes but was shortly interrupted by the buzz of security forcing you to shove the remaining dishes in the dishwasher.
"435" you called into the buzzer with a "see you soon" as an answer.
Only moments later there was Eric standing in your doorway looking at sexy as ever. It was just the way his hair fell over his face and the way he held himself. The tattoos were just an added bonus.
"Hey" you couldn't help but smile, you were glad he was here
"Hey," he used the same tone you did and gave you a kiss on the forehead as he entered your domain. "So this is all yours, huh?" He was taking in the view of the living room and kitchen.
"Yeah, all me. Sorry about the mess by the way." She said while straightening the pillow.
"Are you kidding, this place looks amazing"
"Thank you, it's the first place for me to ever really call home"
He looked around once more before his eyes rested on your face for the first time since the incident. You could see them soften at the hint of a bruise showing from under your beanie and he slowly raised his hand to move the fabric out of the way, showing the whole knot and purple skin.
You heard him take a slow, deep breath but his eyes were already hardening at your eyebrow though he covered it back up for you, sensing you were still embarrassed about it.
"I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you." Anger and disappointment laced through his words as he wrapped you in a tight hug. You felt yourself melting into his warm embrace and he smelled so good.
"You're here now" you squeezed him tighter, taking in as much of his scent and warmth as you could.
He released you after a moment that seemed too short but you followed in suit, looking up at him. His eyes were very dark still but there was still some blue to be seen. The blue made you feel safe. You took only a half second to look at his lips before you wanted nothing more than to be against them. You reached your hand to the back of his neck and he leaned down to meet you. In that moment, you needed him and he needed you.
