Life was good and everything slowly seemed to be falling into place. You were still working hard on your album and was loving it. Eric had just finished his next album, Hexada, which was your favorite by far. There were definitely a few songs on there that mentioned you and the thought of them made little twists in your stomach. His song, Squeeze, was going to raise a few eyebrows but you didn't care. You had a few suggestive songs coming out on your album too. Andy popped in your head at the thought of others listening to Dangerous Woman and Everyday. You mentally shrugged it off as Charlotte's face flashed in your mind.

Yours and Leah's friendship seemed to be going through a tough spot as your schedules just would never line up and it was terrible. She was constantly doing shows and when she wasn't you were. Here and there, she would stay the night with you if you weren't at Eric's and she wasn't at Brent's. Those nights made every thing worth it because you were both able to catch up and laugh again. It was like the two of you never missed a beat. They just didn't come as often as you wanted.

Andy seemed super happy with Charlotte which you were thankful for. There was a tiny ping of jealousy that lived on from the years of being in love but you had learned to shove that down, hide it.

Eric's album made the debut and the response from his fans was overwhelming. They all loved it and you couldn't be more proud of him. Of course there were loads of articles talking about the songs written about Summer Sarian but seeing all of Eric's hard work pay off made everything worth it. For once, he finally seemed happy. Soon after his release, Eric went on a huge tour. There were a couple shows close by that allowed you to come and support him but then he went across the sea. In Germany. You two talked as often as you could with your schedules but you knew how busy tour was. You couldn't wait for him to come back. Of course, you kept yourself busy and tried to keep your mind off of him and the distance between you. Throwing yourself even more into your music and doing small live shows were your favorite. You still attended parties but not as frequently as you did with Eric. Andy was with his new girl so he was preoccupied too. You didn't blame him. Just missed the friendship.

Eric had FINALLY gotten to the airport and you couldn't wait to pick him up. You pulled into the pick up lane and saw him standing with his suitcase, typing away on his phone but he got a huge smile on his face the moment he recognized your car. He threw his suitcase in the trunk of your Range Rover and hopped in on the passenger side. He leaned over and kissed you. Your lips aching for more of him instantly. Your body remembering the way he made you feel. He put his hand high on your thigh as you drove to his house. Teasing you.

His room was the same as he left it when you took him to the airport. It seemed almost cold without him but the same overall. You laid on his bed, talking with him about his trip and everything that has happened while he put his clothes away. It seemed as though he had a nice time. He mentioned meeting up with a man named Pouya. You had heard his name mentioned before but didn't know him. They were planning on making music together and Eric seemed pumped for it. You were excited for him but you had other thoughts on your mind. He looked at you in the midst of his organizing.
"What?" He asked questioningly.
"I just missed you is all." You say slyly while sitting up on the bed and kneeling on the edge of it. Your forearms resting on his shoulders, hands in his hair.
"I missed you too, Sum." He smiled before kissing you. It was full of need, of want. You let the rest of the day melt into him.

The following night you two had to go out of course

The following night you two had to go out of course. There was a party at Andy's house and you were excited to see everyone again because it had felt like forever. As you two were standing together, waiting for a game of beer pong you see all the Crown guys' head turn towards the door. It must've been something bad as it seemed to go earily quiet even though the music was still pumping. You followed their eyesight, preparing for the worst, as Jax Teller walked in. Jax fucking Teller. You had always had eyes for him and sadly was under his spell. His blue eyes landed on yours and a smile replaced his scowl. You happily walked over to him and hugged him. You hadn't seen each other in years but he hadn't seemed to age much.
"It's been too fuckin' long darlin'" he said while still embracing you.
"Too long" you repeated in his ear.
The timing never worked for the two of you and maybe you both never truly wanted it to as it was part of the fun but one thing is for sure. The guys hated him, especially Andy.
"How's things been for you?" His eyes took your image in making a light blush creeped across your cheeks. "I've heard your songs on the radio. I'm so proud of you."
"It's been great honestly." You couldn't help but look down at your boots and mindlessly kick the invisible dirt. "How's things been your way? The club doing good?"
"They've been aight. I can't complain too much there."
You look around for Eric, so that you can introduce everyone and be respectful of course, but he's no where to be seen. The light conversation continued until you were worried about Eric's absence. You politely excused yourself with the promise to keep in touch and a light kiss on the cheek.
"See you around, darlin'. I'm in town for a few days." He said as you walked off, back towards the kitchen. When you got there Eric could not be found.
"Did you see where Eric headed off to?"
You asked Caity.
"I think he left hun. He seemed pretty upset that Teller walked in. Does he know him?"
"Oh fuck. Not to my knowledge, he doesn't." You said while pulling out your phone to text him.

Hey, where did you go??

You stood there staring at your phone, waiting for a reply. The bubbles haven't even popped up yet. You sighed as you put down your phone to grab something strong. Your eyes found Jax's as your phone vibrated.

Eric🥰: it doesn't matter. I'm not standing there watching you drool for some other tool. i duckinf hatw you somrtimes

"Come on, Summer. Put down your phone and take this." Andy put a ping pong ball in your hand. "You're with us tonight. We've missed you." He kissed your temple in such a homely way, something you needed right now, something that you haven't felt in a while. When it wasn't your turn you showed Leah the text. She had a few choice words and advice that ended with you getting blasted and going home with Jax but you didn't feel that it was actually what you wanted to do. You were completely thrown off guard since you were literally going to introduce them and had no intention of doing anything with anyone else.

You left a couple hours later. Drunk and lonely and sad. You asked your driver to take you to Eric's house and while you waited, your nerves were exceeding you. Your fingers tapped on your bare legs and your heart was racing in your chest. Brennan let you in and guided you to Eric. He was in the studio alone, screaming. You always loved his music but you could feel his energy right now. You opened the door and stood in the doorway, he was still in the box recording a line. As he saw you, he seemed to soften. You offered him a slight smile and pointed upstairs. You were going to wait in his bedroom. He nodded in response.
You took off your clothes and replaced them with one of his shirts and his briefs. As you were all snuggled up in his bed you saw you had some messages from Leah, she had your location and knew exactly where you were. Drifting on to sleep while scrolling through insta, reading the comments on the songs that were linked to you on Hexada. The words slipped together as you closed your eyes and drifted into the softness of Eric's bed.

~~

You stir as you feel movement beside you. Feeling a pair of lips kiss your forehead you smile in a drunken, sleepy state.
"You're so gorgeous you know that? I'm sorry I ever hurt you. I couldn't do this life without you, Summer. Please learn to forgive me."
