You were trying really hard to not focus on the events that happened over the past few days and staying at the boys' house with Leah really helped. But. You needed your time and you had to go back home as much as you hated to admit it.
"You come back as soon as you're done with whatever," Dave motioned all over your body in circling motions, "you've got to do."
"Oh, I will. Trust me. You know me; I'll be back in time to set up for the party tonight."
He kissed your head as you threw the duffel over your shoulder. You had your manager stop by your apartment the day... everything happened because you were scared Eric would try and find you and apologize but you needed some clothes and toiletries.~
Walking to your front door you see a vase of a dozen red roses sitting on your welcome mat. Hesitantly, you pick them up to look at the card.I love you every day in every way.
-EA sigh escapes your lips while unlocking your door. Not even an apology but you still couldn't get yourself to throw them away. Your apartment looked the same but the feeling was a little different. It carried the sadness that seemed to be radiating off of you. You looked around at the different photos of you and Eric and some of just him. The feeling of just plain numbness took over the emotions that have been welling inside of you from a couple of days ago. It was like your mind was racing with all the memories that wouldn't have the chance to be again.
While readying yourself for a much needed hot shower in your own bathroom, your eyes caught sight of a special polaroid. The same one that brought you a ton of butterflies right as you left your house the last time. You took this photo one night of Eric after you had some wine and you thought he looked so handsome.. the picture just brought pain in your heart. You tossed it in the bin beside your desk because you couldn't stand to look at it anymore. Silently wiping the tears that came with no permission you started melting into the boiling water that ran over your whole body.
~
You tried not to look at all the other pictures hanging up as you got dressed and did your hair and makeup. You were determined to look hot which now meant you had to hide the puffiness under your eyes from the tears that streamed down them earlier.
Deciding on a white tube top, no bra, mini shorts, and a plaid shirt to layer over the shorts. Pairing with black ankle heels really set the tone for the night. You straightened your long hair that flowed effortlessly to your hips and took a second to stare at yourself in the mirror. Your eyes were still puffy behind the makeup which was easy to spot by anyone who knew you and you looked a little more shallow, no energy left to give but the sadness that tried to swallow you. Your mind wondered as you thought about the cause of the sadness; you really thought maybe.. maybe Eric was the one. "The one I'd end up with... but I guess he wasn't a match."
Drifting, you thought about all the times he lashed out at you for guys' attention. Like Jackson for example, there was no reason for him to act like that but I guess it was him projecting his insecurities and wrong doings. That fucker. You felt the tears well in your eyes again but looked up to keep them from falling. They weren't going to ruin your night and neither was he.
