Guardians of the galaxy- Vol 2 - Rocket X Reader

Part 18

Yondu and Nebula, in the cockpit, are being overcome as blasts come through the walls.m "We're done for without the generator."
Nebula groans, frustrated. She flips open a section of the dashboard, then a part of her arm.
The remaining Sovereign envoys have circled around the battered Laser Drill, blasting it to bits, Quill flies into the ladder, slamming into the wall.

"Guardians! Perhaps it will provide you solace that your deaths are not without purpose."

Ayesha's voice heard as Nebula is feeding the wires from the craft into her mechanical arm as Ayesha continues "They will serve as a warning to all of those tempted with betraying us; don't screw with the Sovereign."

Yondu works some switches, The lasers slide back into the slots all over the ship, Yondu looks over to Nebula "This is gonna hurt." "Promises, promises." She smiles at him then he flips all the switches making all the power run painfully throughout Nebula's body into the ship and the lasers beam out of the ship in all directions at once, slicing through almost nearly every single envoy and a beam accidentally went towards Y/N, without her knowing Drax sees this and starts running, grabbing her, leaping out of the way. Smoke rises from a hole in the ground between him, Y/N and Mantis.
"Hey!" Drax yells.
With flair, Yondu spins the pilot's wheel, so that the whole rig revolves, destroying Ayesha's envoy.

Quill sees chunks of flame fly into the rig and fire spills towards the ships engine as it drips fuel.
"We're gonna blow!" Quill warns as Yondu whistles as the flame hits the fuel.


Gamora watches as the Laser drill explodes, upset. She looks at the laser "Peter?" She sees a tiny body flying from the ship, across from her on her feet. Nebula look over to Gamora, seeing she's worried. Nebula gives her a little smile, and looks upward. Gamora follows her line of sight, everyone seeing Quill is flying from the explosion on his aero-rig. Yondu is holding onto a flying arrow: his one arm up straight, his heels touching. Quill looks at him and snickers making Yondu look over at him "What?" "You look like Mary Poppins." "Is he cool?" Yondu ask, Quill looks at the man who raised him. He smiles. "Yeah. He's cool."
Yondu looks out at the Guardians as he comes in for a landing. "I'm Mary Poppins, y'all!"
Quill and Yondu lands beside Nebula. Gamora sees Quill and walks up to him.

The other Guardians came up together, one by one Nebula, Drax with Y/N on his shoulders and Rocket flying down on his aero-rig, and finally, Mantis,
staring forward with concentration.

A huge chunk of the spaceship flies on from the side and hits Mantis, everyone in shock "Mantis! Watch out!" Drax says "Oh. Wow." Y/N says as Mantis is unconscious underneath a ship fragment, has lost hold of Ego. The entire place around them begins to rumble making the ground and walls shift and waver The whole cavity is alive. Drax checks on Mantis "She's just unconscious." Drax tells everyone as Groot tries to get to the center.

"How long before the bomb goes off?" Quill ask, Rocket looks around
"In the unlikely event Groot doesn't kill us all, about six minutes."Rocket says as Yondu speaks into the comm on his lapel. "Kraglin. We need the Quadrant for extraction in T-minus five minutes." "Aye, Cap'n!" Is heard as the group peers up to see the surface of the planet unfolding above them, so that the bright sky shines through.

"Someone needs to be up top when Kraglin arrives. Drax, take Mantis"Drax nods. He picks up Mantis. Quill grabs the aero-rig off himself and slaps it on Drax's back, which quickly wraps around his upper body. "Ahhh! My nipples!" He screams as he flies to the surfacel
The ground around them splits and Gamora sees the crack on the ground rushing toward her and who'll, she turns to him with her side crumbling away and Gamora falling down with it.
"Gamora!!" Quill said, looking over to Y/N "Y/N in a bit go to the ship!!" As he said this, a huge burst of ground shoots up all around Y/N, Yondu, Rocket, and Quill. Even Drax who is on the surface.

Lower rift:
Gamora is falling, seemingly to her death, when she looks over and sees Nebula falling just behind her, she grabs Gamora's arm and then grabs onto a passing cliff.
hanging down off the side, Nebula tosses Gamora up onto a flat surface. As Nebula climbs up after her, Gamora looks at her, wary but surprised by this beneficence "get over it" Nebula tells Gamora

Near the Ego's core:
ego has formed giant tentacles that rush towards Y/N, Rocket, Quill and Yondu, Y/N shoots her way out and tries to fly to the surface while Quill blast a tentacle, Yondu whistles and his arrow weave through tentacles around them and Rocket tosses a bunch of tiny bombs at some, which they stick to and explode . they are by no means winning this fight and one of the tentacles have Y/N pin to the wall, she was so close to the surface.

On the surface:
Drax walks with Mantis in his arms, seeing the Quadrant. The doors open and Drax walks towards the ship, But huge swatches of the planet reach up and grab onto the Quadrant, yanking it down.
Making Kraglin, freaking out, throws the thrusters into high gear.The thrusters flare as the massive ship struggles to free itself from Ego's tendrils. And it does pulls itself sup for a moment, but the tendrils tighten, slamming it back down. The whole Quadrant starts to Tip. Kraglin falls down against the side of the ship. Drax sees the ship falling towards him and he runs away from it in fear.
But he arrives a the edge of a cliff. He crouches as the ship continues to tip toward him, about to squash both him and Mantis But Kraglin crawls his way back up to the controls as he dangles from them. He pushes on the thrusters, so that the ship goes back upright, Drax turns and again run toward the Quadrant.
