Guardians of the galaxy- Vol 2 - Rocket X Reader

Part 20

Groot finally arrives at the end of the tunnel, and stops there, seeing at the center of the core holds a huge cosmic placenta, and, within that, Ego's true self, the cosmic brain, it roils furiously as the reflection of it fights with Quill, thrashing around within its womb being afraid, Groot places the bomb on the placenta, he stares at both buttons, scared he doesn't know which one to pick. Groot makes a decision on which button to press. He goes to push the death button but Then his finger stop just millimeters from the button, trembling. He thinks..  and then changes the course of his finger, pushing the correct button and the countdown clock commences.

          Baby Groot turns, terrified, and runs and on the surface Drax moves with Mantis into the loading bay. He throws her down and climbs up a ladder, Y/N flew in the loading bay as she fell on her knees and collapse, breathing hard. Looking out at the surface, seeing Gamora and Nebula, climbing up to the surface in the dirt storm. Y/N smiles at Gamora and Nebulas as they ran towards the ship, Y/N tried to stand but ended up passing out.

Ego rises on his own molecular tornado and strikes back at Quill, he yells as he slams Quill against the wall, dragging his face along it, tossing him into another wall.
          Quill brings his arm filled with light away from the wall, that he causes a wave of light and rock around the interior of the hollow, flying to ego and knocking him aside.    Yondu protects his face as dirt swirls in the wake of the   Quill V. Ego battle.

          Rocket, carrying Groot, flies back down beside him Yondu "Yondu! We're about to blow!" "Get to the ship" "Not without Quill." Rocket declared
"You gotta take care of the twig and
Y/N"  "Not without you." Rocket says, tearing up a bit                           
                    "I ain't done nothing right my whole damn life, rat. You need to give me this..."
                        Rocket, hesitantly, nods.    He grabs some things from his bag. He hands them to Yondu "A space suit and an aero rig. I only have one of each."  
"Rocket... take care of Y/N... she loves you... I didn't share the love with Hydra like I should. Don't make the same mistake like me" Yondu nods at Rocket, He nods.

Rocket POV
'I need to get back to Y/N' I starts to go, but stop and look back at Yondu.  wanting to say something, but I don't
                                          "-I am Groot."
                    My mouth drops open, I look back at Yondu "What's that?" Yondu ask, I shook my head lightly " He says welcome to the frickin' Guardians of the Galaxy... only he  didn't use 'frickin'." Yondu smiles at us    "Bye, twig."  Groot waves and I fly up toward the surface. I look over at Groot "We're gonna need to have a discussion about your language."

With Rocket gone, the battle with Ego and Quill is still going on, Ego slams Quill back against a wall. Ego pulls the huge rocks away from the wall, flying them towards him and battering him.
            Ego and Quill flew towards each other. Ego uses the light to bring rocks to his body, forming a giant avatar of himself as Quill did the same thing but making him into a giant form of pac-man.
Ego flies into pac-mans mouth, so hard there's a sonic boom and they both fall, tumbling, still striking one another on the way down, Landing hard as the timer counts down to a minute left.

On the Ship
Gamora and Nebula are caring for Mantis and Y/N as Rocket and Groot arrive, Gamora turns to Rocket "Where's Peter?" Rocket doesn't answer Gamora, making Gamora worried "Rocket, where is he?!"Rocket looks down at a timer in his hand. The time is almost their to blow up. Gamora looks like she's gonna kill him  "Rocket?! Rocket, look at me! Where is he?!"Rocket just shakes his head a little, Gamora looks over at Groot, beside Y/N and he points sadly outside.

                "I'm not leaving without him."
  Gamora hardens. She stands up and snatched a rifle off the wall, cocking it as she starts walking out of the bay door but behind her Rocket shock with a electrical blast from behind and she falls over unconscious.
"I'm sorry, I can only afford to lose one friend today." He walks over to Y/N placing her head on his lap and grab his comm "Kraglin, GO!"

In the pilot deck, Drax looks uncertain as Kraglin press the thrust.    "Wait. Is Quill back?" He ask, pressing the comm "Rocket, where's Quill?!" Rocket looks sadly out the bay door as it close, hearing Drax's voice echoes on his comm "Where's Quill?! WHERE'S QUILL?!"
