Buttercups POV:After heading towards the park, I could feel the September breeze finally hitting at night; the childhood memories finally flowing back to me little by little; like as if I had forgotten them for good.
"Hey you awake still?" Said brick causing me to snap outta thought.
"Yuppp" I said while smiling; the alcohol sure did get stronger in the past few minutes."We're here; stay close. Don't want you falling and smashing your teeth out your own skull" said brick in an annoyed tone of voice.
"Wouldn't that be just awful seeing that?" I said in a sarcastic tone; he knew he saw it before, us as children fighting causing bones to break here an there. Ahhh the wonders of chemical X; healing us none stop.
He rolled his eyes to my response while digging inside his jacket pocket to pull out a lighter,
"Woahhhh woahhhh, hey. You better not be smoking" I ripped the light from his hands.
"You think that's gonna stop me?" He raised an eyebrow at me as if I was clueless normal human being.
Shit; forgot about his flame power; how annoying.I flipped him off in return while he gave me a cheeky smirk,
"Let's go on the slideee" I said while pulling him towards the stairs of the play ground.
"We shouldn't stay for to long, it's getting late"
"Don't kill the mood; you remind me of bloss being bossy twenty four- seven"
"Don't compare me to pinky pie"
"Well you are her counter-partner" I said as I sat at the top of the slide,After sliding down, I took a look around at the old woods we all use to play in.
"No, you're not going in there" I rolled my eyes to bricks comment.
"How come?" I said while bending down to dig in my bag, I could feel the alcohol getting stronger in my system. But it wasn't enough to distract me from the fact that I was near brick.
After pulling out my Mickey, brick reached over and snatched it from my hands.
I looked up at him with an annoyed/ disgusted face; who does this man think he is? My dad?
"What are you doing" I said while standing up throwing my duffle bag over my shoulder.
"You shouldn't drink anymore, you're already to drunk" he said while throwing it into the woods. When I say he threw, he basically flung it across the damn woods.
"Hey!" I tried my best to jump up high but it wasn't fast enough. Not even my power jumps could help me. After seeing it fall down near the end of the woods I sighed and hovered down; no use in finding it
"Are you asking to be punched? Cause you're on the right path"
"Not the first time you'd punched me" He shrugged and began walking towards the side walk,
"Kill joy!" I yelled and began walking the opposite direction, I don't know where I'm going but I sure an hell ain't walking beside that damn wall.Bricks POV:
I looked back to see if she was following behind me, but wasn't surprised to see her walking the other way. I sighed and stopped in my tracks to look up at the night sky,
Everything was so difficult with her; I could never just walk away because I know she's to darn stubborn to admit she's in the wrong or needs help. I took a deep breath in and began walking behind her,
"Are done throwing a fit?"
"Funny that you ask, haha fuck off" she began heading into one of the entrance of the woods.
I knew it, she's not gonna give up on not getting what she wants. Without hesitation I grabbed her arm and started pulling her towards the other direction,
"I said you're not going in there" BANG! I turned around to see her walk into a small thin tree, yikes. Forgot she barely can walk straight.
"Oww...."
"My bad," I lifted her over my shoulder and began heading back to the way of the dorms, was bit far off from where we were but would still get back in 20 minutes or so.
"No puking on me or else you'll be the next thing I throw"
"Sureeee thingggg"
Yup she was now gone, ugh I swear baby sitting drunks is like baby sitting a toddler.
After ten minutes of silents I stopped to the touch of her hugging my torso.
"You smell nice"
"I'll drop you." I rolled my eyes and faced the small 24 hour convenient store.
"Want me to buy you water? We still got a few more blocks to go"
"Yeah, oh can we get some nuggets"
"No, water or nothing"
"You're mean."
I sighed and started heading towards the store,
I loved this small store, the owner and I got along pretty well.
"Hey Brick- oh my. Who's that?" Said the little old lady who was petting a long haired cat on her lap.
"Oh hi, and just a friend who got to drunk at the bar"After grabbing the water bottles I placed them both at the counter,
"Make sure you visit more often, I really do love the company"
I chuckled and grabbed the plastic bag,
"Will do, also. I was wondering if you had anything left that's pre cooked?"
"Oh um.." she got up from her chair and dug into the small oven behind her.
"There's these tots left hun. I was bout to throw them out since no customers wanted them tonight. Bars are full so I'd thought they come near her and try eat"
I felt bad for her, she was always a kind lady, ever since I was young she would give me something free. Either it was candy or a coloring book, no to mention no one ever wanted to come in the store due to haunted roomers about her husband dying in the bathroom. Which is all a lie, mr. Arron died from cancer; ever since that had happened I wanted to try my best to stay close to mrs. Arron.
I smiled in a response and began pulling out my wallet, but as soon as I moved my right arm buttercup slipped off my shoulder face first.
For fuck sakes;
"Oh dear is she okay?" Mrs Arron began walking around the stores counter,
"Yeah she's fine. Her teeth will grow back"
"Fuck..." buttercup mumbled as she stayed laying there, didn't even bother to try catch her fall.Fuck.....
