KEITH'S POV

"Honestly, I feel the king had an ulterior motive." I raised my inner voice. The location we entered looked like a horror movie set.

I wouldn't be surprised if I make 2-3 ghosty friends here. At least they will be better than Mason who ditched me. Actually having ghost as a friend have it's own benefits. They can help me disappear or even better help me find my mystery girl.

Meghan is too smart for anyone like me. The entire trip, she made sure to either dodge my question or ignore me with insulting me which I didn't feel bad for. She did answer 3 questions for me which I made note of. The most important one was the third question which I am sure of with a positive answer.

The ghost friend can help me find the answers. Now I have to quickly find a ghost. Where do I start from?

Usually in movies, they can't be seen in day light so I have to find a place where there is darkness.

"Are you searching for a vampire?" Meghan's voice brought me out of my thoughts. I must agree she has a soft voice- the one where your heart swoons. I have this thick voice which can be used to threaten the shits out of people.

"Why would I do that?"

"You said something about finding a dark room as someone can't be seen in daylight." Did I said that loud. "Yes you did!" she answered with a smile.

If nothing, I want the mystery girl to have a smile just like Meghan. Her full blown smile can lit up any dark room. Actually her beautiful face can even make a flower bloom. I shouldn't be comparing both the girls, but these few things about Meghan brings to my heart do a wired feeling. The same I get while texting mystery girl.

"I am actually searching for a ghost." I answer her looking here and there for a dark room. looking back at her raised eyebrow which means 'why', I answer her, "See a ghost has powers. So it can help me find about mystery girl. I just have to make him\her my friend or bribe them if they don't agree."

What do ghost prefer the most?

"Bribe them with what?" she questions while taking some pictures. Oh I did actually forget about this trip being 'educational'.

"You can decorate their cemetery as a thank you for the help." Eva chirps in between. These girls are smart.

"That's a good idea. Now I need a ghost." I really do wish to find one.

Eva looks at my determined face and then shakes her head and walks away.

The remaining time I click few pictures as Meghan notes down some points. God knows what language she used in the notebook. I couldn't decipher it. The professor announces a break which I am thankful for.

I join Eva and her partner. I wait for Meghan to return from whichever corner she went to.

"Do you think we should file a complain for your missing friend." I ask Eva who is on her phone scrolling to the 'amazing pictures ' she captured which might gain them extra points. I was paying attention to her nonsense.

"She is just around. Might be searching for ways to pass with you! " I agree I have been the less interested student on the trip. Honestly the place is as boring as listening to Eva.

The entire course mystery girl chose is boring. I wander what makes her interested in these subjects. Thinking of her, I open her texts and click a picture of the place we are at and send her with a caption- 'The place is as empty as my mind without you.'

Meghan returns saying she discovered a secret gate or something. This confirms my doubt about the king having a ulterior motive for this place.
