MEGHAN'S POV
"Well I know I have nice house and plus you're going to my room but still I should warn you, nothing that is playing in your head would take place." I rolled my eyes at him. "My mom would be visiting so after she leaves.." this earned a smack on his arm.
"Shut up or else I'm telling your mystery girl to block you." his eye widened and he took long strides towards his room.
I laughed and followed him. Before any more drama I excused myself to go to washroom.
"Well this is the door, you can push it while coming out. Do not try to exit from the window in order to explore my house." Keith pushed and pulled the door as if doing a demo. i pushed him away and entered. "That was violent." He said and walked away.
"Uncle, this is my friend's house. So this should make our work easy. I will call you when I find something" It took me 2 minutes to assure him I will be fine.
This might sound odd and as unpleasing it is, I have no choice to do it. Does Keith and his mom know about Mr. Davis? I'm pretty sure Keith doesn't. In the time period I've known him, Keith is nothing like his dad.
A little Irritating maybe but other than that he is okay. More than okay.
I know this might risk our friendship but the promise I made myself is more important than any relation right now.
"Are you sure in there or should I report your missing case." A smile made it's way on my face. Keith is nothing like his dad.
Opening the door I found standing with his arms crossed against his chest. Looking at me a look of relief washed over his face. "You are a dramatic." I said to him.
I walked past him in his room. Walls colored with grey and white, pictures of his childhood with his mother, some trophies as well as certificates lined up in a shelf. To say I was actually impressed with how tidy his room was.
The question that popped in my mind was there was not a single picture with his dad. Is he not close to him? Well that's good. The wired feeling I was having is starting to disappear.
"Stop looking at my room as if you want to kiss it." Leave it to Keith to spoil the moment.
"Even after a month of talking with her, you're still bad at comebacks." He scrunches his nose. Damn the hell ! I found that act cute. He is cute ...at times. I hope he understands everything. I need to do my job. Maybe because of this he might loose his dad.
Sorry no there's no might. Mathew Davis will be put behind the bars as long as he breathes. I will make sure of it.
To not look suspicious I and Keith started with the project. After being aware and warned by his mother about his academic progress, I decided to contribute more towards the project. Keith just stuck the pictures and gave his options which were useless.
"I am telling you, the prince and it's escape point is the vital point in the project." He kept nagging with me ignoring him. I thought he might be joking but he literally thinks that point is as important as water for life.
"Keith, how did you pass all these years?" I'm actually interested.
"You see, I always chose the subjects I like which never included these matter. For a fact I knew I wasn't made for these." He said pointing towards the pictures. He is also dramatic with being cute.
My next question could gain me some information but I'm afraid to ask. But if it might give me closure so why not. "So you wanna do business like your dad?"
"To be honest, I wanna take his place but not act like him. Looking at the pictures you should know I am not close to my dad. And you shouldn't know why"
I smiled. I know. And I'm grateful you don't wanna be like him.
Would he know about his father's affairs. Sensing his feelings for his dad, I guess no. With the project done we took a stroll around his house. I was sure to look at every corner and every room though it looked annoying to Keith but he didn't complain.
"And that is dad's office he is not home, you wanna go inside?" he knows I would I eventually ask him to take me inside. He understands !
I nodded and he opened the door. The room with 3 shelfs, 2 small tables with drawers and a desk with it's chair looked like a well maintained office. Everything was adding to my suspection.
"Do you find anything odd with his room?" I ask Keith secretly telling him to help me. He was in a deep thinking. While I was looking at the drawers and even opening them. Each drawer had papers and documents. He couldn't be this mad to put the documents here but I still opened all the drawers and read to the titles.
"He never allowed me to read his books." He pointed at the book shelf. I quickly stood up and strolled towards the shelf. Keith followed me and stood besides me.
The shelves had numerous books of business. Looking at every book, I found a romance novel? I picked the book and to my surprise it wasn't a book but a box which opens with a code.
Keith snatched the book from my hand and looked at it with curiosity. Before I could ask him anything, he pressed 4 numbers and the box opened. It had an address written on a paper. "A13, Building No. 3, Raymond Road – Warot."
At the moment I wanted to dance, scream and jump. I swirled Keith around and kissed him on the cheek. If not for him entering the code, I wouldn't have found the address. "Thank you and I hope you don't break our friendship."
Saying that I ran out of the room, straight out of the mansion and inside our van. I wanted to scream but waited till we reached our place. I ran inside to Mr. Kane's cabin where everyone was seated.
Barging in I screamed, " A13, Building No. 3, Raymond Road"
A smile broke on everyone's faces, without wasting another second, we left for Warot.
Warot – the documents for the secret route. It is a name given by my father.
