2 weeks later
It was a Friday and I loved Fridays. We rarely did any work in our classes. That's one of the main reasons it's one of the best days of the week. I mostly wear sweat pants, a t-shirt and gym shoes, but today I felt like getting dressed up. Maybe it was for Raquel or maybe I just wanted to show people I'm not just a girl who wears jeans and sweat suits. Although I don't dress up a lot I still make sure I look my best. So today I decided I'm going to wear a bandage nude dress that stops just above my knees with some black five inch peep toe pumps.
I curled my long black hair and put on some black eye liner. My long black hair is one of the traits I get from my mother. When I was done getting dressed and doing my hair and make-up I looked at myself in the mirror and I was very satisfied with how I looked.
"Now Angel it's time to show them what you got." I said out loud. I looked at the clock to see how much time I had before Tiffany's mom came and got me. She offered to drive to and from school today and I didn't protest. I was glad I didn't have to deal with my aunt's grumpy butt. She hates getting up early in the morning.
I had ten minutes to spare so I grabbed my bag and headed out the door. I decided to go to the corner store. My aunt didn't go grocery shopping yet so I was hungry and couldn't wait to get to school to eat breakfast. I walked to the corner store that was very close to my house.
I guess the store just opened because there was no one there but the owner. I bought two granola bars and some apple juice, after that I walked home and waited for Tiff's mom on my porch. As soon as I sat down she came pulling up in front of my house. I hopped in the car and said hello to Tiff and her mom. They both looked like they'd seen a ghost.
"What?" I said after those weird seconds of silence and staring.
"Nothing", they both said unison. It was a short ride to school. I was ready to get this day over with.
When I walked in school it felt like all eyes were on me. When I walked by these dudes in the hall they whistled at me. "Go whistle at someone else", I retorted. Tiffany didn't say a word at all; she just giggled and kept walking.
"What's wrong with the boys today, they act like they never seen a beautiful woman before." I asked when we got to our lockers. She giggled a little and proceeded to grab her books out her locker. When she was done she said,
"Girl you are looking cute today."
"Thanks" I said with a warm smile then headed to my class to get started with my day.
When I didn't see Raquel first and second period I was worried he wouldn't come. Until fourth period I saw him. We were the first ones in the class, we even beat the teacher to class. I walked up to him and said hi. He stood there and looked at me up and down. "Wow, Angel you look beautiful."
"Thank you and you look very handsome yourself."
"Thanks, so that little gathering you having it's still on?"
"Of course"
"Okay cool". He said as he made his way to his seat and also managed to stumble. He looked back at me and smiled and I stood there laughing at him. I soon stopped after I seen he was just staring at me with a straight face. "Are you okay?" I asked with a genuine tone.
He looked at me with a grin and said, "Yea, I'm cool. You just gotta worn me next time you decide to show up looking all fine so I can pay closer attention to where I'm going." I giggled at his corny but cute compliment and waved him off on the way to my seat. Soon after that the teacher and the rest of the students finally made it to class.

That night I could barely sleep. I was anxious about seeing him outside of school tomorrow. There were so many things running through my mind. I felt like I was really liking him. I am so attracted to him and I know he is attracted to me. I wondered if he would actually want to date me. I have never felt this way about a guy before. He is my first official crush and I decided I'm going to tell him tomorrow.
