Unexpected Love

Chapter 18

On the hilltop Tzuyu was standing there facing the moon. Recently she had a lot of things going on inside her head and one of them was Sana. After the fight her brain convinced her that she was the Sana was dragged into the mess, Only is she had told everyone she was her mate, Sana wouldn't have been dragged.

Sighing she closed her eyes and listened to the sound of river water flowing, it always calmed her, it give her some sort of comfort no one gave. Inhaling the scent of nature, she suddenly remembered Sana, the way she smiled at her for the first time, her eyes turned crescent, how fireworks exploded in her stomach when their lips touched or how the eyes sparkled with excitement when Tzuyu gave her the pendant. That's when Tzuyu thought. 'She is the one.'

Breaking her thought process a pair of arms engulfed her into a back hug, shed didn't need to turn around to know who it was the mere scent of was enough for Tzuyu. It was the person she longed for. It was her mate. It was Sana.

"How are you?" Sana said still hugging Tzuyu.

"I'm fine." Tzuyu turned back reciprocating the affection she was receiving.

They both were in embrace each other and suddenly nothing in the world mattered. At that exact moment Sana belonged with Tzuyu and Tzuyu belonged with Sana, but when Sana pulled out of embrace the warmth slowly slipping away.

"I am sorry." Sana whispered it was almost inaudible. Tzuyu would have definitely missed it if her attention was not on Sana.

"For what?" Tzuyu spoke intertwining Sana's hands with hers.

"I.. I shouldn't have reacted the way I did, I mean like both of us were stressed and what I did was irrational knowing what you said was right I shouldn't have reacted that way I am so sorry." Sana spoke with voice cracking and head ducked low.

"To be honest what you said wasn't wrong. You were right we have no point hiding you or others. Truth will come out one day or the other. Plus, I never thought things would be tough for you too, I am sorry too." Tzuyu said and hugged her again.

They both sat down under a tree and cuddled there, Tzuyu resting her head on Sana's lap while the latter was combing her through brunette's soft hair.

"You know river reminds me of us." Tzuyu suddenly spoke taking Sana by surprise, yet she managed to compose her posture.

"Would you tell me why?" Sana asked softly.

"Just like a river we both started our journey the moment we met, there were a few hurdles that came but we crossed them just like how river does. We will have our fair-share of ups and downs coming but I promise to face them with you." Tzuyu spoke as she looked at Sana who has a really soft look in her eyes.

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" As those words left Tzuyu's mouth Sana's face flushed into bright red as her body stiffened and Tzuyu chuckled while seeing Sana in this state. So, she got up and connected her lips with the latter who still seemed frozen the only difference was that her eyes were now wide open. Few seconds later Sana came back to her senses and replied to the loving kiss. As soon as both separated both rested their forehead against each other.

"I Love You." Tzuyu confessed with so much emotion and value that it made Sana's heart race.

"I Love you too." Sana replied with voice laced with love.
