It was already 9:30 pm when my lock-up ended. The little endeavor left me absolutely exhausted. "Awe frick, I'm drained now..." I mumbled with a yawn.

Toby sighed. "Well, I guess this is where we part then? I hope you have a good night..." He gave me a crestfallen gaze.

I thought of a way to cheer him up and came up with the perfect idea. "Hey, um... do you think you could do me a favor?" I asked as my face warmed up with a faint blush.

Toby tilted his head to the side to notify me that he was paying full attention to my question.

"Could you make sure I don't have one of my midnight episodes? As soon as I'm asleep, you can leave. I just want that extra bit of security after this little bout of unpleasant business." I asked politely as I felt my blush getting brighter.

"Sure, 'Ria. Just let me get on my jammies and then I don't mind watching over you." Toby said with an affirming nod. He smiled and got off of the floor and left for his room.

"Ria? He called me Ria...?" I was unsure of where I heard that nickname before but it definitely felt familiar. Changing my focus, I quickly changed into one of the nighties that Lynnie made me. It was a soft lavender nightie with grey buttons and white lace. The whole dress came down to my knees and covered just my shoulders in small pouf sleeves. I climbed into my bed and got cozy as I waited for my best friend to return.

Coming back in a pair of brown plaid pants and a grey sweater, Toby stretched before climbing under the heavy comforter right next to me. "You don't mind if I stay here even after you go to sleep, right?" He asked

"Of course not. If you ever can't sleep, you're free to spend the night in here too." I smiled with another yawn. "Night Tobster waffle. I hope you sleep well," I said as my eyes fluttered shut.

"Night Marie, I hope you sleep well too." My best friend smiled at me before he closed his eyes as well.

One semi-restful sleep later, I felt something on my nose. I scratched my nose in hopes that it'll make the tickle go away but it didn't. When the feeling came back, I opened one sleepy eye and saw Toby almost floating over me it seemed, he must have been the one poking my nose. "What... What's going on...?" I yawned as my eyes drooped again.

Toby, however, wasn't having any of that. He kept poking my nose until I opened my eyes again. "Come on!! We gotta go fill the treehouse with stuff!!" He almost bounced with excitement.

I look over at my alarm clock and it read much too early for my liking. "Toby, it's seven in the morning. Go back to sleep and we'll go take care of that at a more reasonable hour." I said as I fell back asleep for just a second before my nose woke me back up.

The faint smell of banana cream pie floated through the manor but it was strong enough for me to pick it up. I darted right up and Toby laughed at how sudden I sat up. "What is that smell?" I interrogated my brunette-haired best friend.

Toby gave me an innocent smile and put his hands behind his back. Beginning to rock from the balls of his feet to his heels, he seemed excited to tell me about this one. "Maybe, possibly, in a way, I made you some banana cream pancakes for breakfast as a way to make it up to you for waking you up at seven in the morning," He gleefully said, his smile never fading.

I smiled and woke up instantly. Food is the easiest way to get me to cooperate. I honestly find it kind of funny how food motivated I am. "Omg, Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I jumped out of bed and hugged Toby as tight as I could. It surprised him how fast I was moving considering I just woke up less than a few minutes prior.

"I also got something that'll make your morning even better; special permission for us to have the day off! That means we can hang out all day without any interruptions!" He said as he hugged me back.

I smiled as my hug tightened around him. Out of all the times I've hugged him, I've never realized how good he smells. Sorta like maple syrup, cotton, and charcoal. I also liked how soft and huggable he was. I buried my face in his chest and kept hugging him which caused him to blush brightly. I pulled back after a minute or two and noticed that he was still blushing. My face was warming up and I decided to cut the awkward silence with a suggestion. "Let's go have breakfast and have a good day. alright?" I sighed happily.

Toby nodded. "Let's have a good day." He parroted with the same amount of joy.
