I was sitting on the ground with my back against the large tree. Being forcefully evicted from the treehouse, I had been sitting here for the past three and a half hours.

Toby had gone up with a dark wooden box that was polished to perfection, making sure to reiterate *SEVEN* times that I *WAS NOT* allowed to come up until he called for me.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked the time. "Toby!! It's 3:49, Are you done yet??" I yelled up the tree.

"Hold on, just a minute! I've got one last thing to do before you can come up!" Toby popped his head out of one of the windows and waved at me.

I gave him a massive eye-roll and sat back down. In about ten minutes, I was about to tell him I was off to get some soda.

However, I was stopped by the hatch door of the treehouse swinging in, Toby not-so-gracefully falling out of the tree. Fixing himself back upright, my brunette best friend took off his mouth guard and smiled at me. "Alright, Marie! It's finished and dry, so you can come and see it now!!" He said as he dusted himself off.

I stifled a laugh and nodded. Climbing up the tree, I entered into the tree-house that was somehow pitch black. I ran my hands against the floor and noticed the shag carpet in the dark.

Toby closed the hatch behind himself, sitting down on the floor in the empty room. "I hope you're wearing socks because they're about to be blown off!!" He said as there was a click!

The whole room lit up with dangling white fairy lights circling the room. The walls were adorned with a shade of deep midnight blue and speckled with white glittery dots. The whole room shimmered with changes of the fairy lights.

"Oh my gosh, Toby... How did you even manage to sit still for something this amazing?" I asked in amazement.

Toby just shrugged his shoulders with a smile. "I dunno. I had a feeling that you would like it, so I woke up at 1:30 in the morning and primed the walls with wood filler. After I checked that the walls were as smooth as I could get them, I spent the next two hours painting the walls and ceiling at the light of a single lantern. When the paint was dry, I measured the room and took one of the rugs that Slendy keeps for no apparent reason so I could cut it to size. I went back to bed after I finished all my tasks." My brunette-haired best friend listed off all the hard work he did at the most aphotic hours of the night.

"It's... it's beautiful," I smile at him and tilt my head to the side, "but why?" I breathed out as I continued to look around the glimmering room.

Toby blushed before quickly wrapping his arms around me and pulling me close into a hug. "You always said that you were a 'twitchy and wild moon child.' I remember that you told me if you had the chance, you'd make nighttime last longer. Even though it's a fake starry sky, I wanted to see you smile. I did this all for you." He finished.

I nestled myself into the hug and smiled, suddenly feeling him smile too. My heart started to race when Toby pulled me into a tighter hug and began playing with a lock of my hair. This hug felt different. I don't know how to explain it, but it felt like something that had been hiding was slowly showing its face in a blushy-faced game of peek-a-boo.

Unfortunately, it seemed that all good things must come to an end eventually. We both heard a yell, causing Toby to let go of me and almost push me off of him.

"HEY YO TWITCHER TWINS!! SLENDY WANTS Y'ALL!! GTF OVER HERE!!" Masky was calling for us.

Every last fiber of my body wanted to stay here and color Lisa Frank coloring pages, listen to music and play checkers with Toby underneath all these stars, but I knew better than to leave Slendy waiting. I mentally excused Toby for yeeting me off of him the way he did and took a deep breath. I gave him a sad look of frustration before opening the hatch and dropping out, quickly tucking and tumbling before catching my feet.

Toby dangled his legs from the hatch and closed it when he dropped down. He followed me close like always. He was my "Scary Dog Privilege," as Lynnie liked to call it.

I tousled my hair a little to hype myself up in case Masky decided to say anything that would provoke yet another ass-whooping. "You know what? I hate him." I said under my breath so only Toby could hear.

My brown-eyed best friend mumbled a soft "Yeah..." in agreement.

"I hate him, I hate how rude he is, and I hate his stupid little nicknames." I started up, still quiet. "The little 'Rags' bullcrap was bearable. 'Hag Doll Marie' was pushing it. 'Twitcher Twins' is way too far because I can handle it when he bullies me, but he's not gonna like it if he keeps pulling you into my drama." I was getting so frustrated at the situation that I grew only quieter.

When we finally caught up to Masky, Toby just looked down at his feet. He was probably as pissed off about the situation as I was, if not more.

Me, on the other hand, became quiet and cold. That's when my violent tendencies would shine the most. I'm a good kid. I don't deserve this. No matter how hard I tried to ignore him, no matter how I turned the other cheek,

Masky would always try and push my anger to its limit. He wants me to lash out so I can get in trouble.

I don't even remember why I had to go to my room, but Slendy sent us both to our rooms. That's okay. Instead, I was going to do something very therapeutic. I was going to punch a hole in the wall because I knew if I had the chance to get ahold of Masky, I was sure as hell going to make him eat his teeth.
