"You must be Sicillian Presque." The woman in question shifted uncomfortably at such a direct statement, taking a quick glance at the woman in front of her. Lily Estervez was of moderate height, she shared her brother's darker skin with almost black hair pinned back from her face with a bobby pin. Her eyes were a neutral shade of hazel with a discerning look that she knew something they didn't.
"Last time I checked." The reply was a an ambiguous one. Sicillian wasn't quite sure what to make of the late detective's sister, being cautious, the paranoia of the past week making her more wary than usual.
"Who's the kid? He yours?" She leaned back in the office chair she'd been perched on.
"No, I'm not. I'm Helios." The boy answered, wringing his hands together. He'd been a bit unsure of travelling to Lily's apartment, like Sicillian, absolutely terrified of new people or situations.
"Interesting." The brown-eyed woman commented. She gestured to her couch. "Please, take a seat." The two Blackwing subjects obliged.
"Thank you." Sicillian nodded stiffly. There was a soft ache in her heart distracting her. She wanted it gone, she wanted it gone more than anything, even if it meant ripping the infernal organ that made her feel this way right from her chest. She wanted to forget Dirk Gently and everything she'd done. Forget her pain.
"So," Lily surveyed them scrutinisingly as she clasped her hands together, "Why were you looking for my brother?"
"He gave me his number in case of emergency after we worked together on a case. We-"
"I know who you are and your connection to him." The brunette was cut across with a silky voice.
"How is that possible, the information of the Patrick Spring case was strictly confidential, the CIA made sure of that." She avoided using the phrase Blackwing, not wanting to tell a normal citizen about the ins and outs of the agency.
"Oh right, the CIA. Of course." Her voice dripped with sarcasm. "And as for how I know all the shit with the case, let's just say I have friends in high places. And they owe me favours."
"Sorry, I'm not entirely sure I follow..." Helios piped up, a little confused. Sicillian opened her mouth to respond, but Lily for there first.
"Some old guy made a time machine, jumped forwards, engaged in a secret war, got himself killed from meddling in the timeline, daughter got kidnapped by a cult and then Project Icarus and Cain save the day." It was a level of detail neither were prepared for. Helios, as comprehending such a thing was inconceivable, and Sicillian as there was so much information Lily Estervez shouldn't have known.
"How the fuck do you know all this?" She growled, patience wearing thin.
"I wanted to know why my brother was killed. I find things out, sweetheart." The ravenette sat back, unimpressed.
"He was murdered?" The Holistic Assistant picked up on this, voice sharp.
"Spoiler alert, the CIA that kept this all hush-hush wanted him out the picture too. He knew too much." The woman in the desk chair seemed way too casual. The thought of another death caused by another's hand clenched a tear at Sicillian's eye.
"My condolences. Your brother was a good man, I had the privilege-"
"Save it." The darker skinned woman snapped, eyebrow raising jauntily. "Now tell me, Sicillian, Helios, what do you really want?"

"You're insane." There was an irritable air surrounding Lily, eyebrow raised in criticism as Sicillian finished speaking. "You've seen the effects of what you want to do and it ended with a billionare dead. You'd risk it for one person?" The brunette curled and uncurled her fist, trying to dispel her annoyance.
