Hermione could feel Draco's stare as she sat looking at the crowd dancing. Her throat bobbed as she awkwardly drank from her water cup. It was draining being around him and occluding. It felt like trying to force two negative magnet sides to meet one another.

She decided to get up and move away, somewhere Draco's stare wasn't. She didn't even want to think about what the orange-headed girl was doing with him. Hermione went back out onto the dance floor. Then she could be covered by the crowd of people if Draco, for some reason, decided to try and seek her out.

Her eyes wandered for Pansy, but there was no sign of a black-haired girl dancing in the flashing lights. Hermione was getting irritated with her dress as she squeezed past people. The dress kept moving up her bottom half as she brushed past people. She huffed in frustration, pulling her dress down as she walked towards where she saw Theo with some blonde girl dancing on him.

"Theo!" Hermione yelled over the music.

He turned towards her with a smile. "Oi, Hermione! Where have you been?"

"Have you seen Pansy?"

"Last time I saw her she was saying something about needing to go before her dress was ruined?" Theo's expression was confused as he played back the event. "Not sure what that meant, but she headed that way. I think." He pointed towards the left of the room.

Pansy was throwing up.

Hermione knew her friend too well. Pansy would walk through a group of people naked as she stripped before she ever got something on her dress. She cherished her clothes and rightfully so; she had a great fashion sense.

Hermione turned to find Pansy, but Theo called her name again and she looked back towards him.

"Hey, did you drink anything weird tonight? Your eyes they seem... I don't know just kinda different. Oh! You know when the floors of the school are just cleaned and they have that nice glossy shine to them? That's what they look like!"

Hermione knew Theo wouldn't know what was going on and the fact that he was even sober enough to clock the expression in her eyes was surprising.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I've gotta go find Pansy." She turned and walked to her left.

She moved past the line of girls outside of the bathroom, receiving some ugly looks but she wasn't in the position to care at the moment.

"Pansy?" She knocked on the door as she talked through the wood.

All she heard was retching and that was enough for her to welcome herself in. When she pushed through the door Pansy was kneeling towards the toilet as she held her hair back. The straps of her dress were pulled down her shoulders.

Pansy and her damned dresses.

"Pansy, hey." Hermione let her shield down and she felt like she was hit with a blow to the stomach. She thought she might throw up, but Pansy was currently occupying the position.

Hermione pulled Pansy's stray hair away from her face and caught the rest of her hair in the palm of her hands. She rubbed her back as Pansy got the last of it out. Pansy spit into the toilet.

"You okay?" Hermione asked.

"Never been better." Pansy didn't sound delighted at all as she got up from the floor and cleaned herself up. "Well, I can't spend my whole night throwing up," Pansy said as she made her way back to the door with what looked like intent to get back on the dance floor.

"Pansy, maybe you should sit for a little." Hermione worried.

"Hermione, I appreciate your concern, but I can barely breathe through my nose without tasting the alcohol I just threw up. I won't be going back to dancing right now." Pansy laughed.
