The days after arriving at Tokyo were peaceful. You enjoyed quiet days under blue skies, spending much of your free time training your technique. You even went on a few minor missions, taking out low level curses just to get yourself started as you settled into your new home.
One day in particular, you sat on a bench on campus, enjoying a light lunch. It was truly another beautiful day as white, puffy clouds soared across the sky. You stared into the bento box that sat on your lap as you shoveled in another bite.
As you looked up, you came face to face with a strange sight. Gojo was shoving another male in your direction, his heels being used as a breaking mechanism as if he were being forced toward you. The other male was blonde, wore strange glasses and a tan suit with a blue button up and yellow, speckled tie.
"YYY/NNN!" Gojo called out happily as he grew closer. The expression on the other man's face was unamused, similar to your own when first meeting Gojo. "This is Kento!" He finally stopped in front of you who was just trying to enjoy your lunch.
You looked at the two of them, hunched over with the box on your lap and chopsticks in your hand. Your jaw was slightly agape and eyes squinted in confusion as you stared at the blindfolded man with the dumb smile.
"Hi," you finally answered, resuming your lunch once your brain processed what happened.
"This is Kento Nanami," he repeated, "and this is the guy I was talking about a few days ago!" Gojo repeated as if he expected more out of the silent pair.
"Nice to meet you," you said in monotone and looked up at the bored-looking figure with your mouth full of rice. You swallowed, "I am Y/N L/N."
"Nice to meet you as well," the male finally spoke before turning his attention to Gojo, "why exactly did you bring me here?"
"Ya' know!" Gojo used both index fingers to point in your direction, using his shoulder to nudge his friend. Nanami turned his attention back to you who now, at this point, had your cell phone out and began scrolling as you ate the rest of your lunch. He then looked back at Gojo and waited for a further response. "God, Na-na-mi," he sounded his name out, "you're supposed to ask her out."
"Gojo, I thought I already told you," you didn't even look up from your phone to respond.
"Neither of us are interested in that," Nanami pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose, "will you ever give up these antics?"
"Oh, c'mon..." Gojo whined, "you have to...you're like the same people!"
"No one has to do anything," you looked up at the tall figure, not looking all the way up with your head so your eyes gave a sinister look through your brow. Gojo pouted at your response as the three of you stood in silence. Gojo's face then changed into his usual smile, but this time a hint of something behind it as if he were plotting.
"Right, well, I have other things to do," Nanami looked at his watch and cleared his throat, "it was nice meeting you." You nodded with a small smile. "Satoru," he turned and left without another word.
As the day went on and evening crept upon the horizon, you headed back to your room to freshen up for your usual evening activities of grabbing dinner, enjoying a trip to town, and gathering supplies for your next mission.
When you stopped at your door, key out and ready, you noticed a note taped to the old wood. It looked to be an official document from the practice, giving an update to your next mission. As you unfolded the note, typed out on professional paper and extremely convincing, it gave a new set of coordinates and that you would need to leave right away.
You sighed to yourself and went on your way toward downtown.
The new coordinates landed you in front of a small restaurant that sat in the alleyway of a dead street. There appeared to be no threat, as if the letter on your door was forged. You sighed again to yourself and decided that if there was no threat, you may as well enjoy some dinner.
You were seated quickly in the restaurant, only a few other patrons across the small dining room. You perused the menu for a few minutes before another person arrived in the door of the restaurant. Before the host could seat the man, his gaze met yours...it was Nanami. That was when the two of you both realized what happened.
He adjusted his glasses, classic Nanami, and headed in your direction.
