"What are you doing here?" Nanami approached his home, getting out of the car that he had to park on the street considering Gojo's presence. He was sitting in front of his car, knees up and cheeks in his hands.
"Came to get my car," Gojo answered, using his thumb to motion behind him. Nanami looked at the vehicle and then back at his sad looking coworker.
"I can see that. How long have you been sitting there?" He asked.
"No idea," Gojo extended his arm so the sleeve of his uniform would fall back a bit, staring at his watch. "Probably about two hours."
"That long?" Nanami was impressed. Gojo usually couldn't sit still for more than five minutes if he was lucky. "What are you really doing here?"
"Y/N's mad at me," he mumbled, hand returning to his cheek and gaze pouting up at Nanami.
"Well yeah, but she has the right to be," Nanami answered, "you know that as well as anybody. You should have just picked your car up and left. So what are you really doing here?" He asked again.
Gojo paused, pursing his lip at the repeated question. He really didn't have a direct answer to give him. Any truthful answer would out him and open him up for mocking, showing weakness - at least in his mind.
"You love her, don't you?" Nanami asked, breaking the prolonged silence. Gojo immediately shot up, his height just above Nanami's. Nanami remained unmoving and unthreatened by Gojo's sudden presence, simply looking up to maintain his eye contact.
"Shut it, Kento!" He pointed an angry finger at his friend, just like a child, before storming around to one of the doors and unlocking it. The door came up and he crouched into the flat vehicle, turning it on. Nanami smirked at Gojo's reaction, seeing him pissed off was something satisfying.
Nanami approached one of the windows that Gojo allowed down despite knowing he wouldn't like what he would have to say no matter what it was. Nanami bent down to reach the car's window.
"You really should just tell her how you feel," he said in a flat voice. Gojo refused to listen any further, peeling out of the driveway and down the street.
"Well then," Nanami said to himself, entering his home. "Hey, Y/N," he greeted as he took off his shoes. You were sitting on the couch in silence, legs bent and holding a decorative pillow tight to your chest. Your face was a bit flush. "You alright?" He asked, putting the contents of his pockets on the dining table that sat behind the couch.
"Just peachy," you whimpered, not facing him. He came around and sat next to you, flicking on the television to provide some background noise for comfort.
"Confronting Satoru go as planned?" He inquired about your side of the story.
"I guess," you mumbled, chin going further into the pillow you held. "He's just an all around jerk but I suppose you know that."
"Unfortunately," he removed his glasses and set them on the nearby end table, "did you know he'd been sitting out there?" You looked to him with an expression of confusion.
"No..." you trailed off, feeling your throat become sore again.
"Well, when I got home he was sitting in front of his car. Said he was there for about two hours," he informed you, looking to see your reaction.
"Oh," you continued mumbling into the pillow, "wonder why..."
"Do you really wonder why?" He chuckled. "Are you both just that clueless?"
"Excuse me?" You seemed slightly offended by Nanami's straightforwardness.
"He's in love with you, Y/N," Nanami smirked, "he won't admit it, but he is."
