When you woke up the next morning, after quite a restless sleep, you were allowed to leave so long as you were careful considering your broken bones. It was recommended that you hold off from any more missions and spend the majority of your time in recovery and training.
You were determined to never let that happen again. You were incredibly disappointed in your performance and had decided that you would train your heart out in an attempt to grow your power to the level of Gojo, or at least try. Quite honestly, it might be impossible to even get a little bit below his level let alone match his level...but that sure as hell wouldn't stop you.On another note, your mind continued to disobey you in regard to your feelings toward Gojo. You had never felt so out of control. Despite Gojo being gone with the first years on missions most of the days, your mind couldn't escape that night at the infirmary and how badly he left you wanting. The conflict caused your blood to boil. You wanted to hate him so much, but something kept drawing you in.
The next two months were spent training...hard. You put your body to the limit in order to gain back your strength. You began to train even harder when you heard the news of Yuji's death, heart aching for the young boy and his classmates.
"There she is," his recognizable voice could be heard from across campus. You were busy honing your technique out on one of the large lawns. Gojo was headed toward you with the students who looked a bit roughed up but were still smiling, clearly coming back from one of Gojo's "learning opportunities."
"Hi, L/N-sensei!" Nobara greeted. Megumi greeted with just a simple "hi," nothing more, nothing less. "How are you feeling?" Nobara asked, this being the first time you had seen the students since the incident. Gojo had kept them quite busy on individual missions while he secretly went about doing something in one of the spare basement rooms of the professional residence hall.
"Alright, just trying to power through it," you smiled at her, "I hope to join you again soon!" She nodded pridefully, the two of you had grown close in the short time that you had joined the group.
"You guys are free to go...for now," Gojo teased the kids who then said their goodbyes and scampered off for lunch.
He then crossed his arms and stared at you while you completed some stretches, specifically the Lord of the Dance pose, as a warm down from your exercise. It definitely hurt your wounded ribs, but you didn't want to let the pain stop you. Getting back out there could prevent such disturbing thoughts about the idiot who stood next to you from entering your head. To be honest, with much time already having passed the pain was almost non-existent."Can I help you?" You asked, your eyes turning to meet his blindfold while you breathed through the stretch. He had just been standing there silently for the past few seconds.
"No, no...just observing," he smirked as you came down from the pose to switch legs, "taking notes."
"Notes? On what?" You scoffed and rolled your eyes, bringing the other leg up as high as it would go behind you.
"How far your body can go..." he mumbled before turning and walking away, heading in the direction the students took. Gojo had kept this act up for the past two months, constantly teasing you and trying to catch glimpses of you whenever he could, just overall getting on your nerves.
Your leg dropped back down and an angry look grew upon your face. You opened your mouth as if you were about to say something but you lost it. There was no proper response. If you gave any type of retort, you'd be lying. Your mind barely ever left the thought of the sorcerer. It was as if your body was addicted to his presence, as if it needed him...even if it were just once.
