Chapter 1-A Strange Vision

It was a late, dark night at U.A. High School, and the students of Class 1A were all in their beds sleeping when all of a sudden, Izuku Midoriya started having a strange dream.

Deku opened his eyes and immediately had no idea where he was. It was dark and warm, and he could neither move nor speak. He looked down at his body and saw that most of it was obscured in a black haze, leaving only his right hand and the top part of his head exposed.

He looked to his right and saw a woman with long black hair standing in a line with seven other people. He thought he recognised them, but he couldn't put his finger on where he might have seen them before. The last two were shaded, so he couldn't properly distinguish them.
'What is this place? Why am I here? Is this a dream?'

"Stand at my side." Said an ominous and commanding voice. The line of people vanished as Izuku looked towards the origin of the voice. Before him were two more people. One was standing in an imposing manner, while the other was crouching. There seemed to have been some sort of conflict between them.

Deku's heart dropped.
'I know that voice... That's... All For One.'
"Dear foolish little brother. Why do you resist me?" All For One's seemingly gentle yet cruel voice rang through the air. Witnessing this confrontation, Deku managed to piece together what was going on. This was a vision. A vision of a past event when quirks had just started appearing. When All For One was making his rise to power. The people who were lined up beside him were the previous users of One For All, except All Might was absent.

"Because what you're doing is wrong! I can't just stand by and watch as you corrupt everything around us!" Said the man facing off against All For One.
'That man is All For One's younger brother.' Thought Deku. 'The first user of One For All. The first person to take a stand against the evil of All For One.'

"What a callous thing to say." All For One retorted. "I'm trying to compromise with you. But let me guess, tolerance is not a part of your rigid sense of justice."
"The world is falling apart right now, it's in utter chaos." Said the younger brother. "Meta Powers shouldn't be used for further self-interest. You're only thinking about your own desires." All For One responded by holding his arm out behind him and uttering the words "Come here". As he did, two other figures appeared. One was a man whose quirk transformed his mouth to look like a monster, while the other was Quirkless.

"This man's jaw was transformed. Those wretched fangs simply won't stop growing. He's a kind-hearted man who takes care of his elderly parents. But he was persecuted, called sick and a monster. Even his parents have abandoned him." All For One then shifted attention to the other man. "This man has no ability. On his way home from work one evening, he was attacked by a gang of Metas. His stun gun was rendered useless, and the tentacle-like hair of his assailant held him down as he was beaten."

"No, don't! There's no turning back!" The younger brother then collapsed onto his knees coughing as he tried to walk towards his brother. All For One turned towards the two men.
"Please help me." Said one of them.
"Just do it." Said the other.

All For One grinned and activated his power. He took away the first man's jaw quirk while giving the other man a different power, causing spikes to appear out of his body.

When All For One was finished, he asked the two men a question.
"If I'm ever in need, will you lend me your aid?" The men answered without hesitation.
"Yes, of course, I will. I can go home, thank you."
"I'll help too. I'm forever in your debt after this gift."

"Is this the world you call chaotic? It doesn't seem so to me Brother." All For One taunted. "I saw two people in need and helped both of them with my ability." This only angered his brother, as well as Deku.
"I'm no fool. You don't care about them. You're only adding lackeys to your collection."
'Fulfilling someone's wishes, and then immediately demanding their help?' Thought Deku. 'That's not helping a person in need. That's taking advantage of them.'
