Up on the surface, Katara swims to Aang, "Aang, you've got to get away from here!"

Aang wraps his arms around her, "No, I won't leave you."

The water around them begins to bubble up. They are separated as the crown surfaces the sea and Hama grows larger. Together, Aang and Katara jumps off her head and back into the sea.

When they resurface, Aang embraces Katara as they look up at the giant Hama whi was laughing.

"You pitiful, insignificant, fool!" Hama said

"Look out!" Aang said as one of her tentacles came crashing down.

The two dive out of the way as Hama creates a storm, "Now I am the ruler of all the ocean! The waves obey my every whim!"

A wave comes in between the couple, flinging Aang away from her. Katara calls out to him as he lands in the water, far away from her.

"The sea and all its spoils bow to my power!" Hama dips the trident into the ocean and begins to stir the water.

She creates a whirlpool, which sucks in a ship, making it resurface. Katara grabs onto a rock as Aang swims away from the ship.

"Aang!" Katara calls in worry.

Aang dives into the water to dodge the ship. He grabs onto a rope and begins climbing up the side.

Hama blasts the rock Katara was on, sending her into the whirlpool. Aang attempts to run to the wheel, but a wave stops him.

Katara looks up from the bottom of the whirlpool. Hama tries to blast her, but she dodges each shot.

Aang makes it to the wheel of the ship and directs it to the sea witch.

Hama laughs wickedly as she raises the trident, "So much for true love!"

As she lowers the trident, Aang steers the ship into her. She is impaled as lightning strikes around her.

Hama slowly falls onto the ship as Aang jumps into the water. She pulls the ship with her as she sinks into the ocean. Aang crawls onto the shore and collapses from exhaustion.

The trident falls into the sea as all the merpeople trapped in Hama's garden are returned to normal. They excitedly leave Hama's lair.

Hakoda also returns back to normal when his trident falls next to him. Katara and Sokka quickly swims to him and embraces him.

Hakoda laughs in relief, "I'm so glad you both are okay." He says as he hugs them back.

Katara looks at Aang, who was still unconscious, from her rock by the shore. A sad look was on the mermaid's face. She would never get to be with him now. Even though they only knew each other for three days, it was the best time she ever had. She would never forget him.

Behind her, Hakoda and Sokka watches from a distance.

"She really does love him, doesn't she, Sokka?" Hakoda says.

"Mom always did encourage us to follow hearts." Sokka replied, "It seems Katara's lead her to him."

"Your mother was wise like that. It seems you inherited that from her." Hakoda sighs, "I guess there's just one problem left."

"What?"

"How much I'm going to miss her."

Hakoda's trident glows as he puts it in the water towards his daughter. Sparkling magic rushes to Katara.

She looks down, confused at first, until realization hits her. She smiles happily at her father who smiles back.

As Aang begins to wake up, Katara rises from the water wearing a sparkling, ocean blue dress. Aang smiles when he sees her and quickly gets up to run to her.

He picks her up and spins her around excitedly. When he puts her back down, the couple finally kisses each other.

They pull away for air, a smile on both of their faces. Katara looks back at her dad and brother and waves before walking down the beach with Aang.
