When Simon entered the canteen, he found Cerah at the front getting her food. Simon figured this would be the perfect time for him to apologize for the stupid tantrum he had thrown during their last interaction.

Cerah was about to pay for her food when Simon beat her to it.

"Charge for two," he said, placing his card on the counter.

Cerah looked up at him and arched her left brow.

"Breakfast's on me, partner," said Simon with a wink.

Cerah shrugged and walked away with her plate to find herself a seat in the canteen, leaving Simon amused. He took back his card from the cashier and turned around to find Cerah sitting alone on a table, eating and scrolling through her phone.

Simon walked to the table and settled himself in front of her saying, "you look like you could use some company."

Cerah continued to type away in her phone without a response. Simon ate in silence, waiting for Cerah to speak up. When he realized it wasn't going to happen, he snatched her phone away from her saying, "who are you talking to while I'm here?" and looked at the screen to find that she'd been texting someone called Kaitlyn.

"Who's Kaitlyn?" Asked Simon with a smirk, holding the phone out of her reach as she tried to snatch it from him.

"None of your business, Roy," hissed Cerah as she successfully grabbed her phone from him.

"You look cute when you're angry, Vienna," Simon winked at her.

"Yeah? I'd look even cuter when I stab you to death. Wanna see?"

"Nope, I'll take your word for it," said Simon with a sweet smile.

"Good for you," said Cerah and went back to texting Kaitlyn.

Way to apologize to someone, Simon.

Tell me about it.

Simon fiddled with his food, not knowing how to apologize to her.

Just then, he felt a sharp jab on his left foot underneath the table.

"Ouch, what was that for?" Hissed Simon moving his leg away from Cerah's.

"What's wrong?"

"That's how you ask someone what's wrong?"

Cerah responded with a one-shouldered shrug.

Simon ran a hand through his hair as he let out a sigh, "you're such a nice person, Vienna."

"I'll thank you when I find a use for that certification. Now tell me what's wrong."

"I'm sorry for shouting at you the other day. I- I didn't really mean any of that. I was just frustrated at myself, Alex and those girls who bullied her and I- I just took it all out on you I guess. I'm really sorry, partner."

"This is what you're so bothered about?" Asked Cerah laughing.

Simon nodded.

"It's okay Roy. It doesn't matter."

Simon let out a relieved breath, "thanks partner," he smiled.

"I've been meaning to ask you," said Cerah placing a fist under her chin, "why do you call me partner?"

"You don't know?" Asked Simon arching his eyebrow. Cerah shook her head.

Simon laughed and said, "I'm not very good with remembering names, you know?"
