"Ugh, the class is finally over. I swear to God I reallllyyy HATE Math." Said Chris stuffing her books into her bag furiously.
"C'mon Chris, it's not that bad. I'm sure you'll understand once you try out a few sums on your own." Said Cerah in an attempt to cheer up her best friend.
"Easy for you to say Ms 'I get good grades even though I don't study for tests' " Said Chris throwing her bag over her shoulder and glaring at nobody in particular.
"Fine, just forget it okay? Let's go have lunch." Said Car taking Chris by the elbow and walking out of class, Cerah behind them.
Cerah pulled out her phone and found that she had a new message.
"Girls I'm gonna call someone. I'll join you in a bit." Said Cerah and walked towards the kids' park without waiting for their reply.
Cerah sat on a swing and video called Kaitlyn.
"Hey, she-devil." Greeted Kait with a huge smile.
"Hey, Kaiittt. It's been so long! Do I have a niece or nephew yet?" Said Cerah mirroring her smile.
"Niece or nephew? Please, don't get me started. Your gentleman of a brother is still not past the girls have cooties phase," huffed Kait, "he would stand there looking all drop dead gorgeous keeping his hands to himself and I'd be here mentally scream-begging him to-"
"Woah woah, stop right there. I'm his sister okay?" Said Cerah laughing.
"Yeah right," chuckled Kait, "it's easy to forget you're George's sister sometimes."
After a pause, when they both knew what the other was thinking, Cerah said, "Kaitlyn...."
"Oops, something serious."
"Shut up." laughed Cerah. "I think you need to tell George that you don't see him as just a friend. As ridiculous as this may sound, my idiot of a brother still hasn't realized that you love him."
"How can he not Cer? I've given up trying to hide it."
"I know that, but it's kinda in the family you know?" Shrugged Cerah, earning a laugh from Kait.
"OK, let's say I confess. What happens next?"
"I get to name my niece Cerah The Second, duh."
"Cerah...."
"Kait...."
Kait glared at Cerah through the screen. Cerah chuckled and said, "what?"
"I- I don't think George loves me Cer." Kait said looking away.
"Yeah, and lime green is my favourite colour."
"You hate it last I checked."
"George loves you last I checked."
"Cerah...."
"Kait...."
When Kaitlyn's solemn expression didn't change Cerah said "Kait, listen to me, George loves you. A LOT. Trust me, he isn't the kind of guy to go on and on about a topic for hours, but when he starts talking about you he won't shut up unless I shove something down his mouth. And MAN. He got into a physical fight, I repeat, George The Saintly got into a 'physical fight' for you. If that doesn't prove he loves you then I don't know what does."
"Don't tell me George has never gotten into a physical fight before. He can't have learnt boxing for nothing right? I mean, I did see the state of the punching bag in his room." Said Kaitlyn, aghast.
