Letter

"Loving you was a rollercoaster I never wanted to get down from. If you are reading this letter, perhaps you got what you wanted, that is, making me leave. You might think you finally made me hate you. But I still don't, no matter what you do I can't. Even though I want to be there for you, I can't because I am not willing to go against your comfort level. You want me gone, fine I will go, but I just hope if you might have forgotten that you are loved, let me point it out and remind you. You are loved, by me, Draken, Emma, everyone. No one's death was your fault and I know you must be blaming yourself for it, but it wasn't your fault! If you ever need me, I'm a call away. Love you forever.

As he read the letter, his eyesight got blurry and the letter got wet. But he couldn't stop, he had thought he was out of tears to cry but here she was making him turn into a beautiful waterfall. He had done everything for her to hate him but it seemed she knew. He even started ignoring her but she somehow still would stick around. He knew she was hurting but was him doing all this for the good. Earlier he might have said yes, but he no longer knew.

Wanting the need to talk to her again, hear her voice, he took out his phone from his pocket but stopped himself. He will only hurt her. What he didn't know was him leaving had hurt even more so here she sat in her room, not knowing what to do. Yes, they were not couples, they were close friends, but losing a friend causes a major heartbreak because you were closest to them. Earlier when she was sad she used to go to him, but now who does she talk to. She felt alone and lonely and though sometimes being alone brings peace, all she could do was hear her dark thought spiralling in her head creating a void.

Sometimes the people closest to you might do something that hurt you the most because with others you have built up the wall and these few people have already broken it so there's no wall to take the hit for you, directly affecting you with such intensity.

Now they both were separated, but was the decision really the best?
