Chapter Fifty-seven

Aya POV
I just dropped the kids off to Mikey's mom she wanted to spend time with her grand babies and I needed the break so to her they went. I was driving home but I felt like someone was following me.

It was a grey Kia following everywhere I went. I picked up my phone swiftly and called Mikey.

"What's up?"

"Baby somebody's following me" I say trying not to panic

"Aya don't be playing bro"

"Who's playing?"

"You dead ass right now?" He asked me

"Yes Mikey it's a grey car that's been trailing me since I left your mamas" I say looking in my mirror seeing them still following.

"Take some random turns"

"I'm scared" I say wanting to throw a tantrum

"Stay on the phone" he said and I heard shuffling on his end.

"Okay" I say taking a deep breath.

I switched lanes on the highway and they did too.

"Leave me alone" I scream as if they could hear me.

"Don't panic baby,where you at?"

"I just dropped the kids off so I'm on the highway"

"When you get off at your exit make a right"

"Okay"

The exit was coming up soon and I switched lanes again speeding up.

I saw the person still following me when I got off the exit.

"They still following?"

"Yeah" I said seeing a shopping center that was empty. I pulled into there and they did too.

"Aya what are you doing?"

"Ima call you back" I said hanging up.

The person got out there car and to my surprise it was Alexa. I stepped out the car and she approached me.

"Hey best friend you miss me" she said smirking.

"Girl what the hell you want?" I ask her

"I just wanted to catch up Aya don't be so hostile" she said putting her arms out.

"Bitch we ain't coo no more get to steppin"

"Oh, I see your still upset about Jade"

"Will you leave me alone? Thank you" I say opening the car door.

"Oh Aya, you so funny" she laughed but I was confused.

"Girl what-" I turned around and boom a pain was in my leg causing me to fall.

"You thought I wasn't gon get you for what you did?" She said squatting down to my level "bitch you dumb"

"Fucking bitch you just shot me!" I scream out in pain

"Shut the fuck up" she butted me with the gun "aww does hubby know your out?"

"Alexa what's gotten into you?"

"Look at that carrying another baby" she said touching my stomach. I would've slapped her hand away but she's got a gun.

"Yeah" I eye her hand.

"Damn it would be tragic if it didn't make it" she looked at me smirking

"What do you want?" I say with tears streaming down my face

"I don't want nothing from you"

Obviously you do if you messing with me.

"But I did"

"You did?" I ask

"We don't have time for conversation" she said shooting me again right in my stomach

"Ahhh" I scream clutching my stomach and my vision got blurry.

I seen her car headlights come on and she scurried off.

I got up with all the strength I had and reached for my phone.

I called 911 and I blacked out before they even got to me.

Mikey POV
Aya had me panicking once she hung up. I looked at her location and she was still a few minutes away from home.

I was on my way to her last location but I got a call from a number I never seen.

"Hello?"

"Hello is this Michael Williams?"

"This is" I say

"We would like to inform you your wife had been shot and she's at St. Joes hospital"

"Ex-excuse me" I say and my throat started to tighten.

"Yes your wife Aya? She's been shot, she's under surgery right now but we'd like you to get here immediately"

"Oh my God" I say dropping my phone.

It's like my world was crashing down. It became hard to breathe I couldn't think straight.

"Sir you still there?" I heard from the phone.

I got the phone and told her I was on my way. I got in my car driving straight to the hospital.

"It's okay" I say to myself

I was trying to remain calm but I couldn't.

"YO WHAT THE FUCK MAN" I yell finally snapping.

I found myself crying and thinking back on important events that me and Aya have been through. Our wedding, honeymoon, Kaiser's birth, and Ivory's.

"Why me man?" I cry out.

I was going over the speed limit to make it to my wife. As I turned into the parking lot I got another call from the same number.

"We are so sorry to inform you that Aya is dead" that word made my heart stop.

I got out the car,running in the hospital to find my wife.

"I'm looking for Aya Williams" I say to the lady at the desk.

"I'm sorry sir she was pronounced dead three minutes ago" she said tying at her computer

"Please man I need to see my wife"

"Room 230"

I read through the numbers as I ran through the halls seeing her room number.

"Aya baby please" I grab her hand

"Are you the husband?" A nurse walked in.

"Yeah"

"Im so sorry about this" she looked at me with sympathy

"What happened to the baby is my baby okay?"

"Yes your baby boy is fine but I'll leave you to your wife"

I dialed Jade's number and she came running. I called and texted her moms number but didn't get a response.

"Aya no!" She screamed seeing Aya's lifeless body.

We were both a crying mess but I think she was worse than me.

"Please baby girl get up please" she said holding onto her cold hands.

"Jade I really appreciate you for coming out"

"This is my best friend of course" she sniffled.

"Okay we need you two to leave" the same nurse from before said.

I didn't even fight her on it. I just walked out the room sluggishly and they put a white sheet over her body rolling her out.
