Craig of the Creek: The Movie

Chapter 12

In the street, Deep voice was standing on the sidewalk watching Louie return to his house. Bernard drove up and put it in park two blocks away.

"This is crazy! This is insane! You really think you guys could just go up there on his roof and get the key from him?" Bernard said.

"Relax, Bernard. Don't you ever watch spy movies? This plan is pure gold." Craig said as they got out of the van and went on top of his roof, while Bernard stayed in the van.

They looked at Louie through the skylight.

"Finally." J.P. said.

"Let's just hope he's ready for bed. He should be. It's close to midnight. As soon as he's asleep, we can get the key off of him." Craig said.

After some time, Louie was still up.

"As soon as he falls asleep, huh? What if he keeps watching TV for hours?" Kelsey said.

"Maybe there's nothing good on." J.P. said.

"Someone's calling him. Quick!" Craig said as Louie's phone rings while Kelsey plus out Bridget's microphone.

"Oh no. Last time we almost got caught using that thing!" J.P. said.

"Come on, J.P. We gotta find out who's calling him. It might be another clue. Kelsey, do it." Craig said.

"Alright, but if get caught and we're dead. I'll never forgive you, Craig." J.P. said as Kelsey listened.

"Hello? Oh hey baby what's shaking?" Louie said while talking on the phone.

Kelsey had a disgusted look on her face while listening to his private conversation.

"What is he saying, Kelsey?" Craig asked.

"Uh... You don't wanna know. It's nothing important." Kelsey said as she turn off the microphone.

Some time later, Craig was looking through his-tech binoculars seeing Louie finally asleep.

"Guys, he's asleep. Guys?" Craig said as he notices that J.P., Kelsey and Mortimer fell asleep. He shakes them.

"Ahh! Give me that key!" Kelsey disoriented after waking up.

"Huh? huh! What?" J.P. said.

"He's asleep. It's time to go in." Craig said as he pulls out a rope.

"Alright, let's do this." J.P. said.

"Oh, no. You're not doing this J.P." Craig said.

"Why not, Craig?  You know I'm capable on this job." J.P. said.

"Because you're the tallest kid in this circle. You're too heavy. It's not even your size." Craig said.

"I'm not that big. Beside who do you have in mind?" J.P. said as they both look at Kelsey and Mortimer.

"What?" Kelsey said.

After some time, Kelsey hangs on the rope, Craig and J.P. lowers her into Louie's room.

"No problem. I'll fix it." Louie mumbles in his sleep.

Kelsey draws her hand closer to the key having on Louie's neck, but her hands were too short.

"Come on. Almost there. You can do it, girl." J.P. said.

"Lower." Kelsey whisper.

Craig time beeper goes off. He checks it which rope slips out of his hand. They both caught the rope in time before Kelsey hit Louie stomach. She still couldn't reach the keep because she was 10 ft across from him, so she use Mortimer to get the key. He flew to him to Louie to get the key.

"Come on, Mortimer. You can do it, birdie." J.P. said.

A droplet of Craig's sweat falls onto Louie's face. Slightly opens his eyes and see's unclear Kelsey's face and Mortimer.

"Huh? Who's there? Ah, it's an angel." Louie said has he falls asleep again.

Mortimer takes the key off  from Louie's neck and goes back to Kelsey with it. Craig and J.P. pulls her up to the roof. They took off running until a phone booth next to them starting to ring, but this time J.P. answered it.

"Hello?" J.P. said.

"Good job getting the key." Deep voice said.

"Wait. A minute deep voice. Where are you?" Craig said while getting the key.

"Don't worry about that. I'm watching all of your moves. I'm everywhere and nowhere. But mostly, I'm everywhere." Deep voice said.

"Come on, Deep voice, cut the creepy, stalking mumbo jumbo, okay?" Kelsey said.

"Yeah, why do you have to be so mysterious?" J.P. said.

"You three seem confused about who's calling the shots here. I am. Without me, you'll never get the document, you'll never save your neighborhood. You've got to go back to NewTech Industries and into Mr. Michaelson's office. His safe deposit boxes are in a room behind his desk.

"We have to go back to NewTech Industries and to his office?" Craig said.

"Right, but listen. Only this time, don't get caught. You've got to find a way to distract security away from the main entrance. Now, go. It's exactly two A.M. the bulldozers roll at seven. What are you waiting for?" Deep voice says as he hangs up.

"Man, that Deep voice is a pain in the..." J.P. said as he cut by Bernard passing by in the van.

"You guys actually got the key. Hmm. Maybe you guys are actually smart after all." Bernard said.

"Bernard, take us back to NewTech Industries." Craig said as they get back in the van.

While driving back to NewTech Industries, Craig and Bernard try to make conversation.

"Hey, Bernard. I think I notice something." Craig said.

"Really? What?" Bernard said while driving.

"We're actually pass our curfew." Craig said.

"Yeah, we are. Probably our last though." Bernard said.

"Right. If mom ever find out about this. She will go off like a volcano." Craig said.

"Yeah, she will." Bernard laughed.

"I really miss, mom, though." Craig said.

"Me too, Craig. Me too." Bernard said.

"I wonder when she finally getting out of jail, though." Craig said.

At the police station, Nicole finally escapes through the sewer. Bernard drops Craig, J.P., Kelsey and Mortimer at the front of NewTech Industries.

"I know I said this before, and I'll say it, again. Good luck getting in there." Bernard said.

"You betcha." Craig said as they went back inside of the company.
