Craig of the Creek: The Movie

Chapter 4

Craig, Kelsey, Omar and J.P. print out fliers saying, "Stop NewTech. Join The Cause." and posted them on every block. They only had 20 days left. 15 days left. Kit was selling free hot dogs with her dad with a stand saying "Free Hot Dogs when you join S.A.V.E. Registration." The kids were protesting with pickets signs saying, "Hey Ho We Won't Go!" repeatedly. 12 days left, Craig and J.P. were passing out fliers. The kids only had 6 days left.

"Six days. Enough time to try maybe one last big... thing. But what?" Craig said.

"How about a party?" Kit said.

"Yeah. A party. A block party. My parents use to love those things. With music and food." Craig said.

"With finger sandwiches." Kit said.

"Plant based food." Wildernessa said.

"And candy." Bobby said.

"We can have that band, Bad Moves  that we used to play with." Kelsey said.

"Right. A concert. The music would be so loud we would end up on the news and people get excited about it. And the Mayor would change her mind. Maybe she'll stop the bulldozers." Craig said as the rest of the kids agrees.

"But what would we call it?" Cannonball said.

"How about the Sparkle Galactic Ball ?" Sparkle Cadet said.

"Nah." The kids disagree.

"Block Power!" Kit said as she raised her fist.

"A Science Party!" Wren said.

"Block-A-Nanny." J.P. said.

"A medieval block party." Omar said.

"Block till you drop." Todd said as he trips over.

"The party aka It's a block thing aka y'all wouldn't know."Toman said.

"A block party... party?" Handlebarb said.

"How about, Blockapalooza." Craig said as he came up with the idea and all the kids agree.

"Right on, peanut head!" Toman said.

Craig, Kelsey and J.P. were handing out Blockapalooza fliers on the street.

"Blockapalooza! This Saturday!" Craig said.

"Saturday is the day!" J.P. said.

"Don't forget to get your tickets!" Kelsey said.

Once person threw the flier in the garbage, a sleezy guy named, Louie, who worked with NewTech saw it.

"SAVE THE CREEK. BLOCKAPALOOZA? Hello, this is Louie. I think we've a problem." Louie said while making a call.

Saturday, the block party started as Craig, Kelsey and J.P. worked the sound system. Bad Moves performed, and the crowd loves them.

"I can't believe our little man did all of this." Duane said.

"My baby sure knows how to throw a party." Nicole said.

"Mommy, I want candy apple." Jessica said.

"Okay, honey, but just one." Nicole said.

Everyone was having a good time, expect for Bernard.

"Oh, cheer up, my guy. We're at a block party hosted by your little brother." Duane said.

"I don't feel like celebrating." Bernard said as he looked down.

"I know it hurts, son. But you'll get over it. Let's go play some hoops."  Duane said.

"Its call, Blockapalooza. A last effort to save the creek from the bulldozers. A classic story of the little hitting against the corporate giant." The reporter said.
