Craig, Kelsey and J.P. ran to the Trading Tree, but nobody was there.
"Where's Kit? Where is everybody?" Craig said.
"Probably over there by the Elder Rock." J.P. pointed over the rock.
There was a huge group of kids from all over the creek surrounded the Elder Rock. Craig and his friends went over there to see what was going on. They got pass through all the kids to meet with Elder Mark.
"Elder Mark what's going on?" Craig asked.
"Its Michaelson, he wants to buy up the whole creek so he can knock it down and put up a fancy mall. " Elder Mark said.
"Oh. Who's Michaelson?" Craig said.
"This would be a lot easier if David and Barry didn't left. Elder Mark said as he tries to turn on the projector screen and hook it up the laptop. The kids of the creek watch the news coverage on the screen.
"The plan, approved by the mayor moment's ago, would allow NewTech Industries to redevelop an eighth-square-block area in Herkleton Mills . Oh, I understand the president and CEO of New Tech Industries, Mr. Michaelson is about to make a statement." The female reporter said on the projector.
On the projector screen, Keaton Michaelson was about to make a statement on his new mall.
"Thank you. I'm delighted at the mayor's support of our renewal plan." Michaelson said at the conference.
"Nice suit." J.P. said.
"Shh! I'm trying to listen to this disastrous plan." Wren said.
"I am behind Mr. Michaelson's project 100% ." Said the Mayor of Herkleton as the kids of the creek watch the news with angry looks on their face.
"Although some of you in the area may have concerns about how this plan will impact your homes and businesses, but let me assure you change is good. This plan represents the end of your small broken-down shops and small family businesses, the end of antiquated and dilapidated storefronts. It's time for a new world, Maryland. Out with the old, in with the new." Michaelson said while showing a display of the new big mall.
"Wow. That's That's pretty big mall." The Sewer Queen said.
"What's wrong with old things? Some old things are great." Craig said.
"Yeah. Like the Junk Lord." Bobby said.
"Fiend." The Junk Lord said while he hit Bobby.
"Oww!" Bobby said.
"This has been going on for months. The city council are against it, but the mayor's letting him do it, anyway. I never figured he would pull it off. " Elder Mark said.
"What does that mean?" Kelsey said.
"It means they want our parents to sell our houses and move away, so this Michaelson character and his fascist corporation can move in." Elder Mark said.
"No way!" All the kids exclaiming.
"Its time to put the past behind us. I have seen the future and it's NewTech Industries." Michaelson said on the projector.
"But this is our creek." Sparkle Cadet said.
"They can't just tear it down just because they're grown ups." Kit said.
"Adults think they can own everything?" Many said as J.P. touch her shoulder.
The kids hear a big horn and saw a big truck carrying a large bulldozer. Across the street.
"We can't take this lying down. We should do something!" Wildernessa said while being on top of Cheesestick.
"Yeah, but what can we do?" Shawn said.
"We can have our parents to refuse to sell our houses." Craig said.
"I'll have my dad build a wall around the creek!" Kelsey said.
"I'll sign a petition!" J.P. said.
"We've saved the creek from Xavier before. We can do it again. And we'll let those grownups know that this is our creek and we're not give it up without a fight." Craig said as all the kids agreed with him.
While watching from above. Omar was standing on the branch of the tree and said, "I hope you know what you're doing, Craig."
