Chapter forty-five

Two days later

Mabel's POV

I wake up to Nolan crying. I sit up and slip out of bed before taking him to the kitchen. I make his bottle and feed him as I walk back down the hall.

Kierstin's bedroom door swings open and I almost run into her.

"Sorry." she mumbles. "I heard Nolan crying so I knew you would be up."

"Did he wake you up?" I ask and she shakes her head.

"No they just recently diagnosed me with somnipathy." she tells me.

"What's that?" I ask.

"a sleeping disorder." she brushes it off. "do you want to come in and sit?"

I shrug. "Sure."

We walk into her room and we sit down on her bed.

"So have you talked to him?" She asks.

"Erm yeah I have."

"What did you say?" She asks.

"I told him that I wanted to be alone for a while." I tell her.

"And what did he say?" she puts a pillow on her lap and puts her elbows on it.

"He begged me to forgive him and to come home."

"And are you?"

"No."

"Did you tell him where you were?" She asks.

"No and I'm not going to." I say.

"Don't you think he'll come looking for you?" She asks as she grabs her phone off the charger.

"Probably." I sigh.

"Than I guess we're going to have to change your look." she says and I look at her.

"How?"

We walk into Kierstins house just as Kylea comes down the stairs with Nolan. She glances over and does a double take when she sees me.

"Whoa Mabel you look.... wow." she blinks and I smile.

"Thanks I guess." I laugh and I take Nolan out of her arms.

My hair is cut to my shoulders and its blond. I got a whole new wardrobe and I look completely different.

I turn to Kierstin. "Do you think Harry will recognize me?"

"Not a chance."
