Chapter 10.5. ((Bonus Chapter.))

A few years had passed since Madeleine had passed away and Espresso started working at a local cafe, he was more social and always smiled, even if it was a tough situation.

"Why do you always smile so much?" They'd ask. And Espresso always replied with, "Someone once told me that I was their reason to smile. That person told me to smile, no matter what." and he'd always say it with a smile.

Espresso had a small friend group, they all had their separate jobs. All of them had different interests too. Herb really liked plants, Sparkling was a bartender, Latte and Espresso worked together in a cafe they opened, and Almond was a detective. All 5 of them hung out occasionally, and all of them had families.

Herb and Sparkling were engaged, they adopted 2 children. Espresso and Latte were married with 1 kid and Almond was a single father with 1 kid. Of course they all grew old together and eventually died together, but their kids lived and had children of their own.

At this point even more years had passed. They were all reincarnated into a town, in 2021.

Espresso was walking down the street, looking down at his phone, his earbuds were in his ears as he listened to music, texting someone. Espresso bumped into someone, looking up and around to see who it was, noticing a man with long, pale blonde hair, tan skin and ocean blue eyes that anyone could get lost in. "Ah, my apologies..-" Espresso mumbled.

"Wait..do I know you?" The man had said, examining Espresso. "..I'm sorry, I don't recognize you." Even though Espresso had felt a familiar feeling towards the man.
"Well, I'm Madeleine! What's your name?" Madeleine held out his hand. "My name's Espresso.." Espresso hesitantly shook Madeleine's hand, looking into the man's eyes.

"We should go to the park together, Espresso!" Madeleine smiled, holding onto Espresso's hand. "I have some time to waste, so..sure, why not." Espresso gave a warm smile back, blushing a bit. "Great, let's go!" Madeleine dragged Espresso down the street to the park.

Espresso felt a warm feeling inside his heart, making his heart skip a beat. Madeleine ran over to the swings, sitting down on one, pointing to the one next to his. Espresso sat down in it.

"I know this is weird, but, I feel like I know you already." Madeleine looked at Espresso. "I know..but I haven't met you before, it's strange." Espresso nodded in agreement, sharing the gaze.

"Maybe we were lovers in our past life."

"Maybe.."
