Togami Byakuya and Kayama Leah hardly argued. Of course, before they started dating they argued a lot; over dumb things. Being troubled children and not wanting to hurt each other, when either of them were mad at who knows what, they just texted one another something like, "I'm mad" and kept their distance for a few hours.
Yet, this doesn't always work. One day, Togami came home from an outing; one that angered him. He had forgot to text Kayama that he was mad, so when he came home, something happened. Togami got back from his outing, came in the door and fell down on the couch, taking his blazer off. Kayama basically floated downstairs when she heard Togami come home. She's been living with him since they got out of Hope's Peak; and is still excited to see him each time he gets back.
Kayama: Hi Byakuya! How was your meeting? Togami: Terrible.
Togami snapped in an annoyed tone.
Kayama: Care to say why? Togami: These idiot people, don't know what the hell they're doing. People who come to meetings unprepared piss me off.
Togami never swore. Kayama scooted away.
Kayama: Oh. Togami: Damnit. You really messed up.
Togami gave Kayama a sort of stern look. She looked worried.
Togami: Please, Kayama. Just give me some space. I'm trying not to get mad at you, or even bring my anger back from that stupid meeting with those asses. Kayama: Oh. Okay.
But she didn't want to move. In fact, all she wanted to do was comfort Togami in that moment. Kayama accepted the fact that he needed space, so she got off of the couch and went to go into another room.
Togami: Wait, Leah, don't walk aw- Kayama: You said you wanted space though..
Togami got up, towering over Kayama.
Togami: I didn't mean it like you leaving! I just wanted to sit in silence for a little bit! Kayama: I-I'm sorry Byakuya.. I didn't know what you meant..
Togami roughly put a hand on Kayama's shoulder
Togami: You could've talked to me! You know that I really can't get mad at you! I just.. wanted a moment of goddamn silence! This is the one thing you aren't good at; communicating with people when they're anything but happy or neutral.
Kayama looked down and bit the inside of her bottom lip. He was right, she wasn't good at communicating with people when they weren't okay. Kayama sighed an "I'm sorry" sigh and walked off to her and Togami's room. Yet instead of sitting on her side of the bed, she went onto Togami's side, holding one of his pillows.

30 or so minutes later, Togami walked in, looking sort of disheveled, as if he'd been crying. Kayama had shut the door, so she wouldn't have been able to hear.
Togami sat down next to her with red eyes and messy hair.
Kayama: Were you.. crying? Togami: I-I'm sorry for yelling at you.
Togami was still getting over his breakdown.
Kayama pulled him into a huge hug snd gave him a reassuring kiss on the cheek.
Kayama: It's okay. I know those people make you mad. Togami: Thank you, Leah. Really. Kayama: No need. Togami: Just know that I love you, and I never will stop. Kayama: I love you too, Byakuya.
Slowly, Togami and Kayama fell asleep.
