Chapter 34 "One Last Time"
Cloe's POV
*dingdong*
"I'll open the door!" I said as I stood up from our couch.
Since the day when mom got hospitalized she became weaker each day. All the time I feel pity for her. It hurts when I see her vomits or just looking at her frowning face. It was not the same, I regret the times when I got mad at her just for small things. She also can't walk now, she sits on her wheelchair all the time.
"Letter for Ms. Powell!" the mailman said
"Thank you." I said as I shut the door.
I opened the letter.
"What's that?" Donny asked
"But I didn't sent a portfolio?" I said
"What portfolio?" Raffy asked
"Alright! Who sent it?" I asked them
"Me." Mom said in a weak voice
"But why?" I asked confused
"I knew you're dream is about to become a fashion designer. I took your portfolio and mailed it." she said
"B-but I thought you didn't want me to." I said
"Follow your dreams Cloe...." she said
"Thank you mom." I said as I hugged her.
"When will you leave?" she asked
I reread the letter.
"It says I should leave tomorrow." I said
"Is that means you have a job now?" Raffy said
"I think so...but it also says that they loved my designs so they will grant me a fashion scholarship too if I want to." I said
"When will you come back?" Donny said
"3 years from now." I said
"But that's still a long time!" Donny said shocked.
"But what about you mom? I can't go there! if I'm gone then who will take care of you?" I said
"It's okay, Raffy and Donny could take care of me." Mom said
"Yeah, don't miss this opportunity sis!" Raffy said
"What about Louie?" Donny asked while playing his toy car.
"What about him?" I said
"Are you gonna break-up or something like fight for your love like what happens in movies?" he asked nonchalantly.
"I-I still don't know...." I said
"Tsss, here's a tip Cloe if he really loves you he will wait." Raffy said
But what if he doesn't what if I don't. Is this day has come? the day that is what I'm most afraid of?
"You better choose wisely. What will you choose love or your biggest dream?" Mom said
"I probably can't answer that right now..." I said
"I think I better go, I still have to say goodbye to my friends." I said
"Goodluck!" Raffy said
I smiled back.

"Hey Cloe!" Alex said
"What's the fuzz about?" Nick asked
