Chapter 33 "Hospital"

Cloe's POV

It's been a month since my best birthday ever. I had so much fun! guess what? Lily and Nick are now hooking up! I really don't know how it started but they just said they think they are in love for a long time it's just they don't give importance to their feelings.

There was a sudden knock on the door.

"Mom is asking if you are done packing." Donny said

"Yeah, I am." I said

"Okay." he said then shut the door.

We're going to have a family vacation because mom missed going to the beach.

My phone lit up and I unlocked it to see who messaged me.

"Mommy!!!!!" I heard a scream from downstairs.

I dropped my phone in panic as I rushed downstairs.

"What happened?!" I asked Donny as I saw mom lying on the floor shaking.

"I-I don't know! she j-just t-then."

"We need to take her to the hospital now!" Raffy said

"Carry mom Raffy! I'll drive!" I said as I look for the car keys.

I started the engine and drove as fast as I could to go to the nearest hospital.

"Is she gonna be okay?" Donny asked tearyeyed.

"Everything's fine Donny have faith." Raffy said

"We're here! call the nurses fast!" I said

We brought her to the emergency
room. She was on a stretcher and she still remained unconscious.

"I'm sorry but you are not allowed in this area." the doctor said

"But you don't understand our mother is in there!" I said as I was looking on the glass window.

"Sorry kids, but I guess you have to wait here." the doctor said as he left.

We sat at the corner crying.

"I didn't imagine this would happen." Raffy said.

"Me too." I said as I cried on his shoulder.

"I think the best thing we could do is just pray." Donny said

We all prayed in silence.

God, please don't take our mom from us. We really need her so much.....

Hours later...

"Ms. Cloetta?" The doctor said looking for someone

"That's me, Umm is my mom fine now doctor?" I asked

"I'm afraid not. She's still in comatose." he said

"May we know what her disease doctor?" Raffy asked

"Yes, yes, actually she has a heart defect. It's rare disease and we have no cure for it. In order for her to live, we could do a surgery but if we do it I'm still not sure if she could be her normal self again." he said

"What do you mean by normal self doctor?" I asked as my heart skipped a beat.

"She could be paralyzed." he said

"What?! T-this c-can't be happening! Is there another way?" Raffy said

"No, there's none." he said

"How much is the surgery doctor?" I asked

He handed me an envelope. I opened it to see the price of having a surgery.

"We should have the surgery done by tomorrow for her to feel better." he said

"T-tomorrow? Y-yeah sure!" I said as he left.

"Why are you stuttering? Is there a problem?" Raffy said

"Actually, yeah there is. We don't have that enough money to pay for the surgery." I said

"Cloe!" I heard someone yelled my name.

"What happened? Are you all okay?" Alex said

"Yeah, we're fine." Raffy said

"What happened to Mrs. Powell?" Nick asked

"She's still in comatose." I said

"I'm sorry to hear that." Louie said

"Do you guys need anything? How could we help?" Lily said

"We kinda have a financial problem right now." I said

"Here, this is from the four of us." Louie said

"Thanks.......Wait, how did you all knew about this?" I asked

"Donny called us." Alex said

"Umm I realized that maybe you need help from your friends......... Is that a bad thing?" Donny said

"No it's not! Thank you." I said as I hugged him.

"Aww group hug!!!" Alex said as we all came in to a group hug.

My phone rang.

"Wait a minute, I gotta take this call." I told them.

"Hello?"

Cloetta? It's me your aunt Maggie!

"Oh, Hi aunt Maggie."

Donny called me he said you needed money for your mom's surgery I'm gonna ask someone to give you a cheque tonight. I'm sorry I couldn't come there. I'm on a business trip.

"That's okay! Thank you Thank you very much!"

No problem! Bye!

With that she ended the call.

Finally! Mom will now have her surgery. I hope she will feel better....
