KARNA TALKS WITH GANGAPUTR

In the evening karna got ready for entering the royal place as guest of Mahamahim Bheeshma. Under his mother constant nagging he changed his clothes to a new white Dhoti and new red angavastra with golden threading. He was looking extremely handsome even in commoners clothes. He always had his pouch with him. He then went towards palace and told soldier to inform Mahamahim that he has arrived. Soldiers went inside and come back after few minutes. He then took Karna to Bheeshma chamber.

Bheeshma was waiting for Karna eagerly since his meeting him in morning. Soon soldier knocked his doors and Karna was with him. Bheeshma told soldier to leave them alone. Karna came in chamber and closed the doors. Bheeshma then ordered ekant. All soldiers guarding his gate went away.

Karna : Pranipat Mahamahim.
( Hello Mahamahim)

Bheeshma : Kalyan ho Putra.
( Stay blessed)

Karna : Kya adesh hai, Mahamahim kyu aaj iss sutputra ki yaad aayi aapko. Aur wo bhi ek rajsi mehman ki tarah. Mai toh apradhi ki bhaati aane ki apecha kr raha tha.
( Why have you recalled me that to as guest not as criminal)

Bheeshma winced at the tone and words, though it wasn't unexpected.

Bheeshma : Karna, tum sadev hi mujhe galat samjhte ho.
(You always got me wrong)

Karna : Ho sakta hai, parantu aap ne mujhe iske sivay aur koi karan bhi nahi diya diya hai Gangaputr. Aapne mujhe siksha se vanchit rakha mere gunon ko janne ke baad bhi. Aap ved ke gyata hai Mahamahim phir bhi. Aur aapne mujhe Hastinapur aur mere parivar se mujhe door rakhne ka pryas bhi kiya.

Bheeshma : Putra maine tume Hastinapur se door isliye rakhne ki koshish ki thi kyonki main jaanta tha ki tum bina vidhya ke manoge nahi aur yahan wo tumhe milegi nahi. Jab maine tumhe pahi baar us rath pratiyogita mein dekha tabhi Maine tumhare gunon ko pehchaan liya tha Putra. Isi karan vash maine Adhiratha ko tume dusri rajya mein bhejne ka adesh diya tha.

Karna (shocked) : toh aap ke karan hi Pitashree ne mujhe bahar jaake vidya grahan ki anumati di thi.

Bheeshma : Haan Putra jab mujhe gyat hua ki Dronacharya ne tumhe svikar nahi kiya toh mujhe bhay hua ki yadi tum yaha aur rahe toh apna tiraskar hota dekh kisi guru ko chal se ya jhoot bolkar apna guru banaoge. Putra chal se liya gyan samay aane loopt ho jata hai, guru ka gyan vardan shrap ban jata hai.
( Yes when I got to know about Dronacharya's rejection I came to fear aooner or later yo will be desperate and will try to cheat for education)

Karna ( dryly chuckles) : Mahamahim aapko anubhav hi nahi ki aap jo keh rahe main uske kitne nikat tha. Jab baki ke Guru ne mujhe thukraya toh main yeh paap karne hi wala tha. Maine nirnay liya ki mai brahman ka vesh lekar vidya loonga.

Bheeshma and karna now stated to have heart to heart conversation. Tension between them seem extinguished. Karna now realised Maha Mahamahim was big part in decission of his father letting him go to gain knowledge.

Bheeshma (shocked) : Tum kis guru se chal pornvak gyan lene jane wale the?
(Whom did you decided to cheat)

Karna (shamefully) : Bhagwan Parshuram.

Bheeshma : Murk yadi tum aisa krte toh tum gurudev ke krodh ka samna karte.
(Idiot you would be dead)

Karna : Main jaanta tha parantu us samay mai abodh tha, parantu prabhu ki kripa se aisa nahi hua. Unhone mujhe is paap se bacha liya.
(I know, thank god it didn't happen)
