After what transpired in chamber of Yudhishthir, Ashwatthama was very angry at Pandavas.
Ashwatthama : Mitra, how can you be so calm, those arrogant idiots what do they think of themselves? How dare they insult you? Why are you participating in this yagna after what happened? Let's leave I really wish to see if those biggots have courage and might to win over Suryaprast or My kingdom.
Duryodhana and Dhussan was also agreeing with Ashwatthama even Bheeshma too agreed. Vidhur thought as frowning because his inbuilt nature to think about Pandavas was stopping him to suggest that would be not in their favour.
Karna : Mitra, I could go but what would that achieve, more war due to dijvijay of Pandavas many innocent soldiers lost their life defending their country do you want that to happen to our kingdom as well. I know I could defeat them but what about foot soldiers, Charioteer etc. Mitra, the best war is one that never happened because in war both sides are wrong once they decides to wield weapons. War don't give heroes, brave or mighty but victims. I came here in hope that Pandavas never interfere in my kingdom and I have achieved that now and f there a war happen then i will be sole reason for it, it would be because of my arrogance and ego and i assume neither of that is big enough to let citizens of my kingdom to die. I have never cared for their insult because they are not important enough for me to care of their opinion about me.
Ashwatthama : But Mitra....
Karna : Enough Drauni, have I not told you to gain control over your anger are you ignoring my advice to meditate more.
Ashwatthama : I am meditating daily Karna, my anger is not misplaced here.
Karna : Mitra, anger has led to downfall only no matter whose it is. Let s not discuss this Mitra please.
Duryodhana : But Maharaj I don't think what Pandavas did right they have insulted a guest.
Karna : Prince Duryodhana, it's not upto us to have control what others do we can only control our actions.
Duryodhana was going through say something but Bheeshma beat him. Bheeshma was now very angry and helpless if not for promise to his mother and silence of Karna himself, he would have confronted both Kunti and Pandavas himself. How could they do this was they same sons of pandu on whose mere mention puff his chest with pride no, these were mere arrogant and foolish people. They in their ego can't accept the quality of Karna which triumph their own so these idiot soothe their ego by insulting one they should respect. He was blaming himself for his blind love and believe that Pandavas could do no wrong, today he saw what has it resulted in.
Bheeshma : You are saying right Putra but never the less it's wrong. I am asking forgiveness on their behalf.
Karna : Pitamah, don't do this. You never have to ask forgiveness from me. Let bygones be bygones they have said things to me not you all, why are we discussing them or their deed.
Duryodhana : Maharaj Karna, you are right we are wasting our time speaking about them but I am very curious about your questions to Yudhishthir, if you would be kind enough to parch my thrust of knowledge I would be greatfull.
Karna (smiled) : What do you think answer of my question yuvraj Duryodhana.
Duryodhana : I thinks it's devotion.
Karna : Not entirely correct but not entirely wrong too Yuvraj. Devotion of immortal lord vibhishan was indeed huge.
Dhussan : Then what is answer Maharaj?
Karna : It's karm prince Duryodhana. Dharm may guide anyone but it's karm that decides fate. Remember only destination is fixed by niyati that is death but it's karm that decides destiny of a person.
Everyone there pondered over words of karna even Vidhur who was amazed because before today he was firm believer that destiny is pre-recognised since birth but more he ponder over words of karna more he finds truth in his words. He was astonished by intelligence of Karna. Bheeshma was very proud of his eldest grandson. Ashwatthama, Duryodhana and Dhussan were amazed by Karna. There is one more person that was pleased though he was not present here by almighty is omnipresent. A smile escape the lips of Avatar of Vishnu Ardhnarishwar deciple indeed he thought on his mind.
Soon they all returned to magical Court of Indraprastha and took their seat though here too seat of Karna was arranged far away from others whic did nothing to ignite anger Ashwatthama and Bheeshma. Ashwatthama was so enraged that he left Sabha. Karna went after his enraged friend / brother in law but not before pacifing Bheeshma and Hastinapur guests and told them to go and sit in their place as he pacify Drauni. Bheeshma was angered too but because of auspicious occasion he didn't said anything but his disappointment with Pandavas has reached to its peak.
Soon other kings came and took their seat only Pandavas, Krishna, Ashwatthama and karna were not present there. Soon the soldiers announced the arrival of Pandavas. Pandavas came seeing them all kings stood up and did Pranipat to them especially Yudhishthir. Yudhishthir asked them sit which they nodded obliged, they sat down. Soon Ashwatthama and behind him Karna too entered, with lot of pursuation Karna managed to get his friend here.
Upon seeing Karna every king present there stood up as involuntary action and folded their hands for Pranipat. Karna returned the gesture. He walked to his own seat but Ashwatthama immediately went and stood beside his chair. The atmosphere of sabha was turned very awkward and what most humiliating for Pandavas that none of king dated to sit down Karna went to sit on his assigned seat and even then no king dated to sit because they saw how secluded seat of Karna was. It was naked slap on face of Pandavas that even after their Digvijaya these kings either respect or fear Karna so much. There was pindrop silence in court. Only karna was seating in entire court as Duryodhana too stood up showing his support to Karna and since Yuvraj of Hastinapur stood up so is prince, Mahamahim and mahamantri. Pandavas too stood up either in humiliation, astonishment or embarrassment.
Yudhishthir : Why are you all standing please be seated.
King : Maharaj Yudhishthir, i am not feeling well so please arrange my seat beside Suryaprast naresh as I don't want my I'll health to affect sacred occasion.
King 2 : I think there should be more space for revered sage to do yagna please arrange my seat beside Suryaprast naresh too.
All king : We think the same.
Hostility between Pandavas and Karna or might of uncrowned samrat of Aaryavrat was not hidden from anyone so they don't want to upset Karna for gaining favor from Pandavas because they knew who was stronger among them. Though yudhishthir is samrat or Pandavas did Digvijaya none of them either together or combined dare to step towards Suryaprast. Yudhishthir has support of his brothers mighty Pandavas but name of Karna is enough to fill dread upon them. Seeing him seating secluded none dared to sit on their seat.
The humiliation Pandavas were feeling can not be summed up in words. They understood what this represents and invisible slaps were raining on them seeing kings ordering soldiers to arrange their seat beside and around Karna's. The sabha the looked awkward to say the least. In front of throne of there was empty space where as seats and ki ng clustered around Karna. It was clear to everyone what is going on. Ashwatthama didn't want to miss chance to give Pandavas back insult.
Ashwatthama : Well Maharaj Yudhishthir please call upon sages and guest of honour to do yagna to become Samrat. Do so, oh great dharmraj.
Duryodhana and Dhussan were smirking. They never thought this trip would be so entertaining, the fool Pandavas have dug their grave by their own arrogance. News of such interesting Yagna would surely flourish resulting mockery of Pandavas all over Aaryavrat.
