Chapter 20 : Secret

Then after virat and sai decided to take a walk below the shining stars , tonight there was a full moon in the dark sky spreading it's glow on their faces .

"Have you ever been in love ?" He asked

Sai stared at him and he could already guess what was she about to say , the calm look on her face made her smile intense , He instantly realised what he'd asked .

"I..m sorry , I..didn't want to -" further he could clarify himself sai answered

"No , I've never been in love ."

Virat trusted what she said but it wasn't digestible for him to think nobody has fallen for her , she was the definition of perfection and who wouldn't want to have her in his life ? Virat noded in understanding while walking around half an hour sai and virat sat under the nightfall , their hands were interwined and her head was rested on his shoulder she was feeling sleepy when virat started caressing her hands , soothing sensations of his touch made her feel butterflies .

"What if I'd say yes ?" She mumbled

"Then too I would've loved you the same way like I use to do now ." He told

Sai looked at him and a little smile played on her lips , he smiled too to saw her smiling

"But I felt low" she expressed

"Why ?" He asked

"I thought you are up to fix your relationship again ." He found her lil bit tensed here

"With ragini ? (He chuckled) there was a time sai when I loved her so much but she broke me and I'm not gonna repeat my mistake again and the girl who fixed me and made me fall in love again is here with me ." He told by rubbing his thumb gently through her cheekbones

She held the hand who was engrossed with her cheeks and placed it near to her left side of thoracic portion , he felt her heartbeats at a preety normal rate

"This is what it suppose to feel everytime but it didn't when you lied to me about last night , you've no idea how much you scared me ."

Her voice lowered when she said these lines as they both knew how much their insides were hurting at that time , sai felt betrayed by him and he hurted himself by lying to his love whatever he did had a reason otherwise he would've never thought of picturing himself with someone else other than sai .

"I know how much I hurted you sai but have you ever imagine about my condition when I made you cry by faking all of it just to make you realise about your tenderness about me , it hurted me when I saw your broken smile ."

Sai stared at him fondly as she realised how much he cares about her sentiments his warm smile made her heart poured with emotions , After her aaba's death she'd lost hope of being loved by someone unconditionally but he tore all the miserable pages of the book of her life and inked fresh pages with beautiful memories .

"I love you ." She mumbled and her eyes shedded tears of love , when she felt his palms over her bare neck her insides felt warmth his touch was so relieving .

"I love you more." He said while sliding his hands down to her shoulders

Due to airy weather her unclutched hairs were falling on her face virat was observing it for a long time now and he sometimes found her negligible towards them as she was exhausted of tucking them behind her ear , her cute messy look made him awestrucked and this time when the wind forced her hairs to fell upon her face virat tucked them behind and said ,

"If you don't mind , can I ?" He asked

"Are you sure you can fix it ?" She doubted

"You'll get to see it by yourself ." He told and fixed her hairs into braid .
