- ... Calling station 19. Fire in a warehouse on the south end of town.  Scale fire 3.

The firefighters, who were having their meal in a mild climate, start running towards the trucks under the command of Maya.

The captain positions herself next to Andy and vic.  The boys being destined for the other truck.

- A number three, possibly heading for a four.  Everything I least expected near the end of the shift – Andy starts.

- If you had plans for today you can cancel, it seems to be one of the big ones - Vic jokes from the back seat.

- Going home, which I share with Jack, to sleep doesn't seem like a plan.

- You got out of mine because you wanted to...

- Really, Maya?  – Asks rhetorically – I barely left and you replaced me and my place.

- Technically I made your old room the guest room and gave the old mess room to Carina.  So your place is still there.

- What's going on between you both?  - Vic, who seemed oblivious to the conversation, shoots.

- We are friends - Maya responses.

- Friends with benefits - Andy completes.

- Friends who are dating - adds Vic causing some laughs.

- Monogamy is for the weak ones.

- You're crazy - Andy concludes, snickering as a charcoal sky enters their field of vision.

The captain gives some coordinates again, alarmed at the magnitude of the fire as they approached.

Her cell phone starts ringing and she answers it promptly.

-Bella, I'm in the middle of a call, I call you back… - She freezes as her ears hit the shaky voice on the other side of the line – Carina… Speak calmly.  I do not...

-I arrived late - Carina said between sobs - I called ... I asked for help, but the fire is spreading too fast and ...

- Carina.  Where are you?  Stay where you are.  Are you listening to me?  We're heading to a warehouse south of Santa Monica, but there are others...

- I'm here - Interrupts the blonde's speech, causing a bad ice to run down Maya's spine - And I think my father and Andrea are in there - She concludes with a choked voice.

- Just a few more blocks - The captain manages to say after the brief shock - Carina... Promise you'll stay where you are?  Please, I need you to listen to me and be rational.  Okay?  – The blue eyes go to Andy, with her free hand, indicating for her to drive faster.

- I'm going as fast as I can.

-If a place was on fire with people you love in there… - Carina sobs - Would you be rational or would you enter?  - She asks with pain in her voice.

- Of course I would enter, but the circumstances are different.  I'm a firefighter.  I have the ways and equipment for this.  And you said you're not sure if they're really there.  Hello?  Carina?  Carina?  - She Screams and despairs when she notices the call ended.

Two minutes later they were parking and splitting.

- Hey... Where do you think you're going?  - Andy who had heard everything and witnessed the visibly upset state of her Captain after the call paralyzes Maya before they entered the place.

- What do you think?

- Any problem?  – Jack asks approaching, putting on his protection.

- Maya's girl is in there and she wants to go inside.
