- Hey, Hey, whoa.  Let me take care of it - Maya takes the box Carina was carrying, taking it to the pile of boxes in the corner of the room.

- I suffered a concussion.  I am not an invalid.

- All I hear is: I'm resting.  Thank you Maya for caring and not letting me make an effort.

The younger DeLuca's chuckle could be heard as he walked into the house with a bigger, heavier box.  It was all about Carina's move.  The woman had been discharged just over a month ago and decided to reside in the house she had purchased.  After everything happened, the father had gone to a psychiatric clinic and at the time, refused to see his children.

Her brother and her almost-girlfriend, well, she hadn't had an official request yet, but she already thought of her that way.
Deluca and Maya had been treating Carina like a child at an early age.  And that had been getting on Carina's nerves.  Of course she appreciated all the care and love she was receiving, however, she had always been independent to the extreme and this feeling of incapacity, even to the most trivial, even for the sake of her recovery, had not been easy.

Carina sits on the sofa in the living room, which had already been assembled and crosses her arms, staring at nothing in front of her with a totally annoyed expression.

-I'm looking forward to being able to use all this anger in another way – she hears Maya's whisper in her ear, giving her goose bumps.

The doctor bites the inside of her cheek, trying to keep her expression serious.

-You don't want this anger to be still here, believe me – She looks at her sideways, turning back to staring at nothing.

-Hey... - Maya takes a few steps away - I'm not afraid of a frown - Maya continues, letting out an exaggerated squeal when Carina turns around, throwing a pillow at the blonde who dodges, disappearing into the house.

Andrea sits down next to his sister a few seconds later, carrying a small packet of chips that Carina gladly accepts.

- Fast.  Before she sees – He whispers, making the doctor roll her eyes – Don't do it like that, Maya's giving her best.

-I know - she sighs.

- That woman over there loves you.

- I know it too.

-Then why are you acting like this?

Carina rests her head on Andrea's shoulder comfortably.

- How do you think he is?  - She changes the subject abruptly.

- Is that what have been bothering you?

-Also – she stuffs a handful of potatoes in her mouth, chewing them – I feel guilty and helpless for having put him there.  And I feel even more helpless when I can't do anything to relieve this tension, because you won't let me.  Maledizione, you are a doctor, you know that...

- You need to rest.  There are other ways to pass the time, you know.  Maybe kissing this attractive blonde who has excused herself from work and has campaigned near you and has only been getting complaints as a reward.

Carina feels extremely ungrateful at the moment.  Had he really been that monster?

- Don't even blame yourself for our father, because he put himself there and I'm sure that with time he will see this and forgive us.  And... well, about the way you've been acting, it's natural... You've been through a lot, we've been through a lot.  Just... Look for an escape valve, okay?  And remember you're not alone and you don't have to deal with this turmoil in there alone.  You have Maya and you have me.  I don't want anything else in this world to drive us away.
