before y/n knew it, it was 6am. the only sounds that could be heard in their bedroom were the light snores of the children on their bed.

y/n drew out a long sigh before pushing their chair back to do some light stretching. feeling satisfied after hearing a few cracks, they decided to try and get a little bit of sleep. dragging their body to the inflatable mattress sprawled in the middle of the room, y/n let themselves flop onto the bed; a sudden wave of drowsiness overcoming them.

it wasn't long until they fell into a deep slumber.

one hour later . . .

y/n shot up from the air mattress upon hearing the intro to stray kids's district 9 blast throught the first floor. immediately they laid back down as the room began to spin. the h/c person groaned at the nausea they were experiencing, but ended up having to tolerate it as they wanted to investigate what caused the song to play.

begrudgingly, they got up and walked into the living room— using the wall to balance themselves so that they wouldn't faint on the floor.

the first person in y/n's line of vision was xiao, who was remaining neutral whilst klee went bonkers with the volume on the remote for the tv. y/n massaged their temples in an attempt to relieve the incoming headache, before reaching forward to swipe the remote.

but that wasn't what happened at all. instead of successfully stealing the remote from klee, a larger wave of nausea hit y/n which prompted them to dash immediately to the bathroom. hastily shutting the door, they dashed towards the toilet and threw up; groaning loudly as they periodically vomitted.

y/n hadn't noticed that kazuha was in the bathroom aswell despite the boy washing his hands. so when a gentle hand patted their back they flinched, but relaxed almost instantly.

"you... okay?" kazuha asked whilst gently patting y/n'a back. afraid to vomit in his face if they looked away from the toilet, y/n simply nodded, their h/c hair blocking kazuha's view of their flushed face.

the music in the background had eventually died down, as district 9 finished and iu's likac started playing. y/n blinked tiredly at the sound of the soothting music, and ended up falling asleep on kazuha with no remorse.

kazuha was unaware of what to do. he had never really been in this position before, but decided to try and do the best he could without any help.

he gently wiped y/n's mouth with a towel that was conveniently on the sink counter, then hoisted them over his shoulder. kazuha then carefully brought them towards their bedroom. since qiqi was still asleep on the bed, the boy placed them on the mattress on the floor.

the boy then plopped himself on their desk chair, looking after them just incase something else happened.

...

he ended up watching them for the whole day. aether had decided to be in charge for the day, seeing as though y/n was coming down with the flu.

needless to say, someone had slept peacefully throughout the day without any disturbances.
