y/n shot up from the air mattress again, not feeling any nausea whatsoever. kazuha, who was startled by the sudden noise, jerked a bit as he had fallen asleep on the chair.

"ugh... what time is it?" y/n asked to no one, as they reached for the phone that was surprisingly being charged next to them. a loud gasp followed shortly when they noticed that it was the next day.

"oh my god... i slept for a whole day... i can't believe i slept for that long..."

kazuha chuckled at the state y/n was in, but was quick to change his demeanour when he was met with a pillow in his face. y/n sent him the middle finger.

"you shouldn't have let me sleep! now i'm a day behind on my schedule of buying all of you more clothes!" they whined, hiding their head under the pillow they took back from kazuha. y/n rolled onto their stomach to let out a groan of frustration, even though they had plenty of time to get everything that everyone needed.

"fuck it. i'm getting everything today. kazuha, let aether know that i'll be going to costco with keqing."

the boy simply nodded before heading out of the room.

to say the least, shopping with keqing was going extremely well on both ends.

the purple haired girl had taken it upon herself to learn english ahead of the others, which speeded up the comprehension process whenever y/n asked her a question.

though keqing was seen to be more on the strict and professional side, from up close she was definitely reliable and someone y/n could count on.

as keqing dragged the shopping cart beside y/n (she insisted on pushing it because she liked moving it around), y/n pointed towards the food court.

"would you like to get something from the food court? i was going to order some food anyways, since i don't really feel like cooking anything at the moment..."

keqing fiddled with the hem of her black graphic tee for a bit, before nodding. "sure, but isn't that going to cost a lot...?"

"don't worry about the money, everything's on me anyways since you guys have no source of income!" y/n cheered as they dragged the shopping cart and keqing to one of the automatic ordering stations.

y/n had guided the girl on how ordering worked, as well as went through all the food choices that costco had. once keqing was confident enough to order, y/n let her choose whatever she wanted on the menu.

she ended up choosing the chicken caesar salad and a berry smoothie. y/n gave her a thumbs up and approved of her order, then proceed to order more food for the rest of the gang.

once the order went through and a card was swiped, y/n and keqing patiently waited in front of the food kitchen to obtain their order. the two were playing 8ball on imessage, as y/n had bought her a phone as a gift during the beginning of their shopping trip.

y/n had ultimately won against the girl for the third time, which resulted in her huffing and turning away from them. y/n chuckled at the matter, but their ears perked up soon after as their order number was called.

"that's our food. come on, you'll have to help me carry it to my car."

the drive home was peaceful, though there was one instance where y/n was screaming their lungs out to 'good 4 u' as it played on the radio. keqing had looked at y/n thinking they were being ridiculous, but y/n carried on singing.

upon pulling into the driveway and shutting the car off, y/n opened the door to their house, earning a couple of questioning looks from zhongli and childe. y/n looked at them and motioned for them to follow, to which they obliged.

keqing walked passed them with a few shopping bags. dismissing their close presences, she made a beeline for the kitchen to prepare some food for lunch since she had all the groceries.

back to zhongli and childe, y/n had instructed the two to carry one carrier bag each filled with a vast amount of clothes for both the women and the men. when everything was unloaded out of the car, y/n closed the trunk and locked the vehicle.

childe watched in amusement as the door automatically closed by itself. "the things in this world are pretty fascinating, don't you thing zhongli?"

zhongli nodded in response, as the two trailed behind y/n. whilst following them into the house "i will agree with that. everything in this world is very new to me."

"alright everyone," y/n announced loudly, "me and keqing have come back with a lot of clothes as well as gifts for everyone. each of you will receive 3 outside outfits as well as 3 night outfits. i will be handing everything after we eat because holy fuck i'm hungry-"

"y/n, i've set the table!" keqing exclaimed from the kitchen, waving with one hand free and the other holding her phone. y/n left their mouth open for a bit, before changing it into a smile along with an added thumbs up.

"alright, you guys can go eat. i'll just put the clothes in your respective rooms before eating."

and so, the first floor was filled with chaos once again.
