NO ONE'S POV
**** 9:30pm *****
"Michael... " Gwen yelled from the dining room, " ... bedtime."
The eight year old turned his attention from that massive flat screen TV to the clock in the living room. He twitched his brow in frustration." Fine......." He groaned, " Whatever" he replied silently rolling his eyes. Little did this young fellow know that Shaun, the one brother he actually feared and respected was standing right behind him.
" What did you say?"
Michael's face went white with terror and his soul left his body. Michael could not find the strength to turn around and face his brother so he just didn't move a muscle.
The slow rising stabbing pain of his ear being pulled forced him to his senses. Michael wrapped his hands around Shaun's wrist like as though for dear life.
" I'm sorry.." He pleaded as Shaun led him round the couch.
" Please Shaun I'm sorrrryyy...." He shrieked as Shaun took one last good pull before letting go.
" I've warned you about such things, haven't I ?"
" Yes... I'm sorry.." Michael admitted, covering his ear while pouting, on the verge of tears.
Shaun bent down to Michael's level and put his hand around his neck, slightly holding his cheek.
" Don't look at like that. You know what you did. Plus I didn't even pull that hard."
Tears, one by one, slowly started to roll down Michael's cheeks.
" You're not a baby, don't cry."
Shaun used both his thumbs to wipe the tears off his brother's face.
" Next time I will beat you. Are we clear on that?"
Michael just nodded in response and then Shaun sent him on his way upstairs before turning round and switching off the screen.
**** 9:50pm*****
Ben walked downstairs to the living room, just being chill and it was completely deserted. He chuckled at the rare sight, smiling from ear to ear, knowing quite well the reason behind this rarity. He continued on his way to the living room but the silence was uncanny. He took a seat in the luvish blue L-shaped couch, sinking slowly into its comfort. He tried to sneak peaks in the hallways but there wasn't a person in sight. Ben having nothing to worry about himself, leaned back into the couch and opened his phone and was overtaken by the world of work.
It took about thirty minutes before Ben looked up from his phone. At this point he was actually worried that he might be home alone.
He took another look around before he inevitably made the decision to leave his phone on the glass table in front of him, he pushed himself forward to the edge of his seat.
Just as he was about to get up, an unaware Shaun walked into the living room humming to an all too popular tune and roughly dancing to his tune.
Completely caught off guard, Shaun stopped dead in his tracks but immediately continued to hum his song as a quick solution to avoiding an unbearable awkward moment. He pretended to be unfazed by his dad's presence as he walked through the living room but Ben was just great full to see another person." Shaun, " he called out, "... Could you go upstairs and invite your brothers downstairs for me?" Then Ben smiled and reached out for his phone once again, " Tell them there is nothing to fear. I am only a man."
A couple of minutes later, the first to come done was Calvin followed by Max a few steps behind. They found Ben laid back on a pillow with his feet in the couch. They paused and waited to see if he had seen them come downstairs, but he never stirred.
Obviously those who had nothing to worry about passed by with no conscience, Shaun being the first of them since he doesnt even sleep upstairs. The twins came by and looked unbothered, lucky.
Cameron was granted permission by Gwen to stay upstairs since it didnt really concern him much. Troy and Xavier were the last to make it down. Of course Michael remained in bed.
