"Destiny! Get down here this instant!" Winifred Sanderson's shrill voice woke me up from my sleep. It was too early.
"Coming Aunt Winnie," I got out of my cot and changed from my nightgown and into my blue dress and white apron.
I climbed down the ladder from the loft I slept in and made my way to the main room where Winifred was preparing her latest spell.
"Is there something you want to tell your dear Auntie?" she asked in an eerie calmness.
"What's there to tell?" I asked in fear. "You we're with that boy, weren't you." her hazel eyes narrowed in anger.
"I don't know what thou art talking about," I stood up to her.
"Don't lie to me you little brat!" she slapped me square across the face and I fell to the wooden floor.
My face was stinging with pain and I quickly backed away in terror.
"Thou art forbidden to see him again." Winnie ordered cruelly.
"You can't control me!" I screamed. "Oh but I can," she grinned her toothy grin.
I hated the sight of her; she had so much cruelty that it still surprised me about how once could be so evil.
"I will get away from thee! You won't be able to stop me!" I shouted with fury. White sparks were brewing in my hands and an energy was building up inside me.
"We'll see about that." She said with malice.
