"Momo. Here's your soul to be collect" a girl wearing a black suit and hat comes in front before taking the files from her boss' hands and open it. In the files, written her next target's information such as name, address and age
"Myoui Mina..." she ask. Her boss nods. Momo nods before she waves her hands on the air and a giant black scythe appear before her. She grabs it before making her way on earth. She want this job to be done as soon as possible.
Momo hums as she arrives on the river styx (greek mythology) where Soyeon their Perry man is waiting "Momo unnie? Another soul to collect up their?" Momo sigh before nodding and make herself comfortable on Soyeon's small boat
"yes.. How about you?" Soyeon laughs "Still the same unnie. Tho theirs a lot of soul to Perry over the river styx and acheron. I wonder why. But atleast those people who receive a proper burial doesn't need to wonder the river styx for a hundred of years yea" Momo nods before she looks down the river where the soul of the people who's bodies are not properly buried lie
"Yes.. Such a tragic destiny.." Momo said
The boat comes to a halt as it reach the shore and Momo give soyeon an obulus. "Unnie you don't have too!" Momo chuckles "just take it kid. You've been working hard. Keep it up ok"
Momo walks away. On her way out of the underworld she saw a child looking all distress "What's wrong?" Momo ask. The child slightly trembles and takes a gulp "I-I don't have anything to pay the perry miss... I don't want to wander on the river styx.." Momo feel bad for the kid. She pats her pocket before getting an extra obulus and gives it to the child "Here you go. Now go.. My good friend soyeon is waiting for you" the child bows at her before running to Soyeon
Momo continues to get out of the underworld. Not long before the smell of fresh air greet her. Momo close her eyes and her 12 wings appear on her back "Finally.. I get to stretch this wings" she mumbles before she flaps them and flew to her target. Grim reapers like Momo can be invisible with their wings out and can be seen with the human eyes when their hidden..
Momo sniff the air and she lands inside an apartment and hide her wings before she gets inside through the sliding door. She spot a girl sleeping on a bed. When momo take a closer look she was beyond amaze and paralyze with the girls beauty. She can beat Aphrodite with the beauty she hold
Mina feels something looking at her as she snap her eyes open and squeal when she saw Momo starting at her intently "YAHHHH! Stalker!!" Mina immediately gets her pepper spray and spray it on Momo's eyes. Who shakes in pain. Mina grabs this opportunity to give Momo a flying kick and gets on top of her "Who are you!?"
"FUCK! Calm down woman!" "How the fuck can I calm down when your watching me while I'm sleeping!?" Mina retaliate
After a few minutes both party calms down "Goddamn your more harsh than Mistress Persephone herself.. She doesn't even tackle Lord Hades likes this" Mina grins sheepishly. "I'm a grim Reaper" Momo said with a straight face
The girl looks at her like she's crazy before she burst in fits of laughter "Ok. Girl you need to lay of the drugs ok" Momo become annoys with this before she gets up and spread her enormous wings.
Mina become speechless "Oh damn.. You are.." all that Mina can say
********* In the span of three weeks. The two becoming close and Momo completely forgot about her mission. Hades was more than furious when he learn that Momo is being attach to the girl. He immediately call Jisoo and ask her to take Momo to his throne room
"Momo! You are one of my best grim reapers. And you know full well a relationship with mortal is extremely forbidden with grim reapers like you!" Momo felt her heart clench before she looks down and nods. "I-Im sorry lord hades.. I understand"
"Tomorrow before the sunset.. If you don't collect that girl's soul.. You'll be be burned to ashes. And your soul will wander the river styx for all eternity" Hades said with authority
Momo feels tears sliding down her cheeks before she nods "I-i understand my lord..." Momo stands up before she walks her wait back to earth
********* "Momorin! Why are we here? I mean it's not that it's beautiful. I love sunset" Momo chuckles weakly before nodding.
"nothing I just want you to see how beautiful life can be" Momo said and stare at the sun who's slowly setting "Coming from a grim Reaper huh. That's nice"
Momo hold Mina's hands and smiles "I'm sorry Mina.. Because I'm gonna do the things.. I know I would never regret in all my immortal life" Momo whisper. Mina looks at her in confusion before she cupped her cheeks "What are you talking about Momo?". Momo doesn't say anything but proceed to lean down and capture her lips into her
The taste of Mina's lips make Momo smile as she though to herself that her decision was all worth it.
Momo gasp when she feels a burn on her back as she collapse on the grassy ground. Mina panicked as she hold Momo in her arms "Momo what's going on!?" Momo hold Mina's cheeks, her hands slowly fading into ashes
"A punishment.. For falling inlove with the most beautiful mortal I've ever laid my eyes on" Mina shakes her head "Momo this can't be! Their has to be another way! Just take my soul now! Don't destroy yourself for my sake!"
Momo chuckles, almost half of her body has faded
"Mina... That's how much I love you... I love you so much that I'm willing to destroy myself for you to live on"
Mina's cheeks is already wet with tears and she shake her head again "What's the point of living if you're not with me Momo?" Momo give her a smile
"I want you to live a life you can be proud with.. The life you can be happy.. Even if that happiness doesn't include me.."
Mina's lips tremble as she holds Momo's fading body close to her "I love you too.. I want to spend my next lift with you Momo.. Just please.. Wait for me?" Mina looks at her with a small smile "I promise Mina... In our next life, we'll be happy and together without anyone judging us.."
Mina leans down and softly kisses momo's lips again. Momo kisses her back with the same passion until her body completely faded into dust.. Mina shakes her head as she let out a scream of despair
"don't worry about me.. I'll be waiting for you right here, for the day when you come back and lift me in your arms again" Mina whisper into the air
"In another life.. I'll be sure to make you stay"
