Mina's POV

I told my parents that me and my girlfriend decided to move in one condo since both of us are  already in legal age but the problem is, we are still both in College.

I could feel the trembling of my nerves as I waited for their approval.

My father looked at me and sadness painted across his face.

"I-Its really hard to decide, baby---" My dad's voice was shaky and I know that he's just fighting not to cry.

He looked away and he cleared his throat.

"It's hard... It's hard to let you go because you are my one and only princess---"

And there, he burst out in tears.

My eyes began to water as I saw him crying. Damn! The strongest man I knew just shed tears in front of me. This is the second time I'd ever seen my dad in such vulnerable state. The first one was when my brother also told them to part ways with his girlfriend--- the same reason of what I'm doing right now.

He harshly wiped his tears away and he stared at me.

"Do you really want too, baby?" he asked once again, his voice cracked.

I nodded my head.

Then he smiled at me while he's in tears.

"Then I will give you my approval, baby. If your happy with your decision. I'll let you go---"

He paused and tears began to fall again in his eyes. My mom remained quiet beside my dad.

"You are already a grown-up woman, Mina. We know that you know what's good and bad. Me and your mom will let you go with her. We trust you, Mina and always remember that me and your mom will always be here when you have a problem."

With tears in my eyes, I didn't waste a second and I instantly hugged my parents for too much joy.

The next day, me and Momo moved in one condo and our relationship remained strong.

Months had passed and we both graduated in College with flying colors. She graduated in Civil Engineering while I graduated in Education.

Days after our graduation, Momo unexpectedly asked me to break up with her.

"I love you, Mina. I really really love you that's why I'm doing this. Their is much larger opportunities in the state---" she reasoned out.

My tears kept on streaming down my cheeks but later, I felt her thumb brushing my tears away.

"Shhhh... don't cry, baby. I'm doing this not because I find someone better than you but because I want to be better for you," she whispered sincerely.

"Just trust me, baby. I promised to you that I will come back!"

I seeked advice to my mom of what I am going to do and she told me, "To love isn't just about staying, Sometimes, it's also about learning how to let someone go even if that would tear you apart. If that could make her better and happy, then let her go. Always remember, a real lover comes back."

And so, I obeyed my mom. I broke up with Momo and we both parted our ways after that.

Years had passed, Momo did really came back but this time... She's carrying a baby.

I burst out in tears while staring at them from afar.

As soon as she saw me, she immediately walked towards me with a worry look.

"Hey, baby. Why are you crying? I told you that I will come back from where my home is--- and you are my home, Mina."

She instantly kissed my forehead and our gaze met.

"And why didn't you tell me that you're pregnant huh?" she creased her brow and later, we both chuckled.

Yes, the baby she's is carrying is our baby because right after she left me, I discovered that I was pregnant.

Seeing her now in a better state, I smiled as I realized that letting her go was all worth it.

She already achieved her dreams to become an in demand Engineer from local to international basis.

Now I know why my parents  let me and brother have our own lives despite that they love us.

Because a mother has to let go of her son for him to be a man.

A father has to let go of his daughter for her to be a woman.

And now, I also realized why my mom adviced me to let Momo go.

Because a woman has to let go of her lover for her to be better.

And if she's really a real woman, she will come back to you.

And that's what Momo exactly did--- she came back for me.
