Make me forget

Seth was still processing everything when he pulled his car up outside of his house and by the time he made his way back to the bedroom, he was working on auto-pilot. He had planned to get back in bed, slide in between Roman and Dean and get another few hours sleep, but now he wasn't sure he could. His mind was too busy

"Baby boy?" Roman always had an ability to know when someone was in a room even without the other person letting their presence be known. "Everything ok?"

"The check up was fine" Seth answered as he sat down on the edge of the bed "but something else happened"

Seth could see Roman tense up "Something bad?"

"I bumped into Jimmy" Seth answered

"Jimmy Jacobs?" Roman asked

"Yeah" Seth confirmed "He seemed super nervous and on edge about something and his face was all messed up"

As Seth was talking, Dean woke up, sitting himself up as he listened to what Seth was saying

"He told me" Seth continued "He..."

Roman sensed Seth was struggling and took hold of his hand as Dean moved to sit beside Seth, wrapping his arm around his waist

"He told me he was with Randy and that he couldn't be seen talking to me because it could mess up the case" Seth explained

"The case?" Roman asked "Randy's court case?"

"I think so" Seth replied "I couldn't get much out of him"

"So not only is the fucker going through with a defense, knowing he's guilty" Dean said "but he's also doing it while repeating the same thing he's being accused of doing in the first place!?"

"Pretty much" Seth confirmed "I mean Jimmy didn't admit that Randy inflicted his injuries, but it didn't take much to figure it out. I recognized the signs straight away because I've been through it myself"

"Don't let this ruin all the progress you've made" Roman said "I know you've been friends with Jimmy for a long time but you are doing so well and we're so proud of you"

"Ro's right'' Dean agreed

"I know" Seth answered "but I still feel like I should do something to help him"

"Like what?" Roman asked "You said that Randy had eyes on you at all times. He's bound to be doing the same with Jimmy"

"He can't go near me though" Seth argued "He may be out on bail, but he's not allowed within a certain distance of me, by law"

An injunction had been a suggestion agreed by both Randy and Seth's lawyers to keep Seth safe and to make sure Randy doesn't make his case any worse by harassing Seth. They had even arranged it for Seth and Randy to never give evidence at the same time to make it easier for Seth to testify [although Seth had a weird feeling that Randy was never that far away]

"So what are you planning on doing?" Roman asked "Meeting up with him?"

"Possibly" Seth replied "I'm not sure yet"

Before Roman could say anything else, the phone rang and Seth got off the bed to answer it. Roman and Dean watched on as all the color drained from Seth's face

"What's wrong, babe?" Dean asked as Seth hung up the phone

"That was my lawyer. She said that Jimmy's giving evidence against me in court" Seth explained as he sat back down on the bed "I thought he was my friend"

"I doubt he's doing it by choice" Roman pointed out

"Yeah" Dean agreed "You know how much of a control freak Randy is. He probably found out about him seeing you at the hospital and figured he'd tighten his grip"
