The teenagers held their eye contact for a few long seconds. Silence enveloped them.
"Yeonhee?"
"The fireworks are over, Jaeyun."
"You wanna–" he hesitated. "Wanna stay a little longer?"
"Yeah. Sure. If you want to?"

Jake inhaled deeply and looked up at the stars. Tilting his head back down, his eyes met Yeonhee's questioning ones. He exhaled shakily and nodded. "Yeah. I wanna stay longer."
Softly Yeonhee wrapped one arm around his shoulders, and pressed her forehead to his, a gesture of comfort they had been doing since they were little. Jake leaned into the light hug, closing his eyes.
"Yeonhee?"
"Hm?"
"Can I– fuck it, I think I might kiss you, is that okay?"
