Y/n POV:

I was sitting on the bed with my diary open in front of me. I was looking at it, wondering what to write. I still haven't processed what happened yesterday. I decided to go to the garden. I took my diary, hopped out of bed, and went to the garden.

When I arrived, I went and sat under a big tree and drifted with my thoughts. A couple of minutes went by, then I took my diary and wrote what I was thinking of. Which was how prince Loki is a dick, mean, selfish, and a narcissistic person. Like how can a person in his position act like this. He is a prince, he should be nice, kind, selfless, and caring towards his people. By the time I had finished with writing, it was time to go and clean prince Loki's chambers.

I finished cleaning his chambers and went to the door to leave. As I was about to leave, he came in and looked at me with a smirk on his face. That stupid smirk, I wish to smack his face and wipe it away. He looked at me and said "leaving already?".

I nodded and said "yes, your highness". He looked at me for a few seconds like I offended him or something. I then asked "Are you ok your highness?"

"You did not ask me if I required anything from you." He said while looking deep into my eyes. I looked at him shocked, he really focused on that last part.

"Well, do you require anything from me. Your highness" I said it in a mocking way.

He smiled and said "No"

I was mentally screaming. Is he fucking serious? I wanted to hit him so bad right now. I calmed myself down, not wanting to hit him. Also, I didn't want him to think that he affected me with his stupid childish behaviour. Who am I kidding, he really pissed me off. I smiled and said "if you will excuse me, I want to go to the library". He nodded and stepped aside so I could pass him.

I went to the library and looked for a few books to borrow and read. The palace library had good books, but not as good as the ones my father used to bring from Midgard. As I was looking and taking a few books, I went to the lady and asked her if I could borrow them. She told me I could, but I had to write down my name and the books that I have taken. After that, I spent some time in the library reading since it was so quiet and calm to read there.

Third person POV:

Prince Loki just finished a meeting with Thor, Lady Sif, and the three warriors. They were talking about a mission that they will go to in a few days. They left the room and Loki found himself going to the library. This time he went there not for the books, but to see Y/n for some odd reason he couldn't explain.

The young lady surprised him when she didn't run away crying like the previous servants. Normally no one would tolerate him, and they quit in less than a week. But Y/n was so patient with him. She has been working for him for two weeks. She had her reasons and it had nothing to do with him.

When he arrived, he went in to see where she was. While walking he saw her sitting on the floor, back against the bookshelf, and books surrounding her. She looked so focused with the book that she was reading. He got close to her but she didn't notice him. She was so focused on the book, he had to clear his throat to grab her attention. She looked up and saw him looking at her. She closed the book and went to stand up.

She looked up at him then said "what can I do for you, your highness?"

He looked at her for a moment, then took the book from her hand looking at it. He then said with a mocking voice "so you were not lying when you said you like reading" his gaze was still on the book.

She nodded and asked "why would I lie?"

"I don't know, you do not look like someone who likes to read" he simply answered.

"Is it because I am a servant?" she asked again

He looked at her and laughed, ignoring the question. "Come to my chambers after dinner with your favourite book" he said. She looked at him confused. He gave her a smile before continuing "I want you to read to me" he said answering her confused look. He gave her the book back and left her there without waiting for her to answer.

Y/n POV:

After serving dinner to the prince and his family, I went to my chambers to pick my favourite book. I was still confused with why he wanted me to read for him. He is not a child; well, he is kind of a child. Is he trying to prank me? Or does he not believe me and want to see for himself?

When I arrived at his chambers, I knocked the door three times waiting for him to let me in. when I heard him say come in, I entered his chambers. I was greeted with him kissing a man on his bed. I sighted and wanted this to be over. Did he really call me so I can see him kissing someone? It was always like that whenever he wanted me in his chambers, I always enter and seeing him kissing someone. Whether it was a boy or a girl. After his make out session was over, he then told the man to leave us, and he did. When the door closed Loki stood up from his bed and got close to me. He took the book from my hand, and scanned it.

He chuckled and said "A Midgardian book?"

"Is there something wrong with that?" I asked

"I did not expect that. Where did you get it?" he asked

"My father got it for me. From the time he was on Midgard" I replied

"Very well" he said handing it back to me and went to sit on his bed "What are you waiting for?" he asked

I sighted and went to stand next to his bed as I began to read, he stopped me and gestured to me to sit on his bed. I sat and continued reading.

Third person POV:

while Y/n was reading to Loki, He thought that it was time to execute his plan. Which was to find proof of what she was saying is true, about her father. As she was reading, he created an illusion of himself listening to what she was saying in the same position on the bed. He quickly went out of his chambers to go to her chambers disguised as one of the guards.

When he arrived, he was looking around. He didn't know exactly what he was looking for, a picture, a letter, or anything to prove that her father is dead. He went to the drawer next to her bed and opened it. He saw a book and took it. He opened the first page then a few pictures fell. He put the book on the bed, and went to take the pictures. The first picture was a little girl hugging two adults. He thought it must be Y/n and her parents. When he turned the picture around, a small note was written on the back that said "My brave little princess Y/n". he looked at the second one, it was the same little girl with a man. When he turned the picture around, there was another note but with a different hand writing that said "I missed you father, you are my hero, and you will always be in my heart. Love you". He took the third picture which was Y/n and her mother. The last picture was new, and when he turned the picture, the note said "My mother, my best friend, Love you".

Loki let go of the pictures and focused on the book. He opened it and started to read. He was flipping through the pages not finding anything interesting. When he was about to close the book, he saw his name. When he was about to read, he heard noises from outside. So, he immediately put the pictures back, closed the book, and put it back to its place. He got out and went to his room. He saw that Y/n was still reading, so he went back to his place and let the illusion disappear.

He pretended to be tired so he told Y/n "That is enough for today you can leave." She nodded and closed the book and went to leave. When she closed the door, Loki was curious of what she might have written about him. Did she like him that she started to write about him? That night he couldn't sleep. He was thinking of a way to read more about what she had written about him.
