TW: mention and attempt of suicide.

Y/n POV:

After finishing up with the funeral, the Queen gave me a week to rest at home. I never got out of bed. The only time I was out is to feed Alvis. I was not in the mood to do anything. I did not eat, bathe, and barely slept. I was in my bed all day crying until there were no tears left to cry. I mean what was I supposed to do? The two people who mean the most to me are dead. They were my wings that lifted me up when I was down. What is the purpose of life if they are not in it?

And that's when it hit me. The thought of ending my life. I jumped out of bed and went to the kitchen. I saw the knife and picked it up. Tears in my eyes. I looked at the object in my hand. After a few minutes, when I wanted to take action, I heard a knock on the door. I put the knife down and went to see who it might be. When I opened the door, I was shocked to see the queen was standing there. I curtsy, then I said "what brings you here your majesty".

She looked at me with loving, caring eyes then said "I wanted to check up on you my dear"

"Come in" I said and moved to the side. She came in, and I led her to the couch of the Living Room. When she sat down, I asked "would you like anything?"

"Not at the moment, come sit" she said, patting the seat next to her. When I took it, she turned towards me, cupped my cheeks, then spoke in a genital voice "I know this isn't easy for you, my dear. I know how close you were, she used to tell me a lot about you." She paused for a moment, then continued "But I could not help the thought of losing you too. You might think that the easy way out is to take your life, but it isn't dear."

I looked at her with wide eyes. How did she know? I replied "H-How did you know?"

She looked at me with a soft smile and said "I was raised by witches, girl"

"I am so sorry but it is really hard without her. First, my father now her. And Lo.." I stopped myself not wanting to complain to the queen about her idiot son. I sighted then continued "It is too much to handle"

"It will be ok dear. Just take the time you need, and come back whenever you are ready." She assured me.

I looked at her and asked "What about Loki?"

She smiled and said "I think he can manage a few days without you" I just nodded and then she said "Look Y/n, when I leave this house, I want these bad thoughts gone. You are young and I know your parents would not want you to give up. You are strong and beautiful. And one day you will travel around all the nine realms like you always wanted to." I hugged her and cried.

Time skip after one week

Third person POV:

Everyone was getting ready for the ball. They just have to wait for prince Thor and Loki to arrive with the warriors. Everything was ready and on point. When they arrived, they went to give Odin the news of their successful mission. As they did it was time to go back to their chambers and get ready.

Before Loki could go to his chambers, his mother stopped him. She told him "Son, Y/n will not be helping you to get ready for tonight."

He looked at her confused and asked "why not mother?"

"I let her go home for a personal issue. She will come back later tonight. So, it will be late and she needs to rest to help you tomorrow"

"Personal issue? That is new. When did she leave?" he asked his mother mockingly
